Definition of escaping by the skin of your teeth. Such a poorly played half with no goals. I'm not sure they deserved to hang on.by Tom Pasniewski 98 - Other Sports

Re: Baseball/Softball Teams - 15 years ago
The baseball team at 16-21 and 10-10 Ivy basically got lucky to even finish in a tie in their four team division but looked very impressive on the pitching end too striking out 18 batters in their 9-0 win to equal a mark not seen since 1957. Softball should roll today. This would be a major upset if baseball could pull it off.by Tom Pasniewski 98 - Other Sports
Re: Grand Rapids Roll Call - 15 years ago
Their departure point is only a mile away from me. Not a bad deal but that's one long bus ride and I guess they're presuming they will get in by Friday night - not a guarantee with two border crossings. Also, sounds like you would have to spend Sunday night on the bus should things not go our way. May their bus break down, get stuck in Canada or otherwise not make it and MAY CORNELL WAKE UP ANby Tom Pasniewski 98 - Hockey

Re: Grand Rapids ticket info - 15 years ago
judyRitajkahnRitaCornell is getting 400 tickets. They do not have a lot of info yet about price (they think ~ $65). However, they did take my name, credit card info etc. Me too. All we need now is another 398 buyers. These regionals can be a lot of fun if we get a good contingent of hardcore Faithful there. Everyone, please join us. Actually only another 395 Faithful ; I got tickets foby Tom Pasniewski 98 - Hockey

Jim HylaTom Pasniewski 98I'll be there via some combination of cities. Grand Rapids was fun in '97 with the pep band and we were not downtown so actually seeing the city would be swell. Notre Dame's rink is small - smaller than Harvard's - so they naturally have been selling it out. Re: Lax: NCAA 1st round vs. Ohio State (pre-game) - 16 years ago
Al DeFlorioI don't think I can remember a worse half for Cornell lacrosse. No O, no D, no clearing,no goaltending, and I'm guessing Cornell's behind on faceoffs, too. Yikes. Given Al's vast historical knowledge, that is unfortunately saying a lot right there.by Tom Pasniewski 98 - Other Sports
Re: Lax: NCAA 1st round vs. Ohio State (pre-game) - 16 years ago
Of course UMBC had cut it to 11-4 by halftime last week.by Tom Pasniewski 98 - Other Sports
Re: Lax: NCAA 1st round vs. Ohio State (pre-game) - 16 years ago
I'm only slightly more hopeful about Cornell's chances given UMBC's rally last week from 11-2 down.by Tom Pasniewski 98 - Other Sports
