Re: Lake Placid Attendance - 10 years ago
I also have received several Frozen Four - buy tickets now pleas in last couple of months - and the cost to go is much higher then when I took my son out to Milwaukee. I doubt I will make another Frozen Four in the near future.by profudge - Hockey

Re: Game 1: Cornell 2, Clarkson 1 - 10 years ago
Penalty shot was the correct call - And the guy made a good move slipping puck in on Andy. I was more worried about the number of times we gave the puck away or turned it over at our blue line area. A better team would have burned us more than Clarkson could! On the other hand we looked very good for stretches but when we pulled back to mostly a half ice defensive alignment most of second hby profudge - Hockey

Re: Union @ CU 2/14/14 - 10 years ago
I don't feel this seasons officiating is much worse overall. Missing a blatant extra man on the ice, on a goal scoring play is very poor job with 4 officials! Penalty should have been whistled about 2 - 3 seconds prior to the shot that scored. It happened right in front of us and our whole section was up in arms booing and yelling at the refs it was so bad. That is just one call missedby profudge - Hockey
Re: Union @ CU 2/14/14 - 10 years ago
Too many Big Red shots were high and wide instead of low on net for possible rebound... But we played well. Union played a bit better in terms of speed to the puck and team passing. Steven in goal was excellent. Game was closer than score indicates, but Union definitely deserves the top 3 or 4 in country ranking. Question: Anyone else notice that Dan Carr seemed to be injured in firstby profudge - Hockey
Re: CU @ Yale 1/31/14 - 10 years ago
Agree! - that loud noise and obnoxious music over 'numbingly' loud speakers is why I refuse to attend Binghamton Senators games in general even though they are fun to watch much of the time.by profudge - Hockey
Re: Bracketology - 10 years ago
Bridgeport would be great as I already have 2 tickets and plan on going there! If Cornell makes it there WONDERFUL - LGRby profudge - Hockey
Re: St. Lawrence @ CU 1/24/14 - 10 years ago
I felt the game got way too chippy partially due to lack of calls on some of the off the puck slashes, hooks and plan instigating use of stick I was observing from SLU players - Mind you, we retaliated pretty strongly! One example I think was Lowery getting hit with a stick as he headed to the bench and turning and slashing across SLU players ankles (SLU player went down) and there was no callby profudge - Hockey

Re: Russian Red Stars - 10 years ago
The Red Stars looked like a young and rather small team, they could skate, but as this was the last game of a long tour - and they had bus problems getting here - the kids looked really exhausted. Final shots on goal were 52-22 for us - The Cornell team seemed to let up a bit in the third period after it was already 6-0 at end of 2 periods.by profudge - Hockey
Re: Russian Red Stars - 10 years ago
Planning to drive up to game from 25 miles south - also like to know the status ? P.S. about 10-12 inches of snow here low last night 0 degrees at my home currently high of 8 degrees here slightly breezy -by profudge - Hockey

Re: Yale 11/23 - 10 years ago
yep three good shots at an empty net and one post and two sort of near misses - Otherwise I agree was a great game with Cornell out playing Yale fairly completely in the first period.... Middle period was more equal as Yale seemed to find some wind and started to skate. The third period was also fairly equal towards beginning but we seemed to stop our aggressive fore-check and pull back toby profudge - Hockey

Re: 11/2 Quinnipiac - 10 years ago
I've sat on the townie side in N for 22 years now. I too notice less noise and enthusiasm compared to earlier. Including on the Townie side. I see folks on their electronic pocket device even during the play of the game - even communicating with friends/family in another section rather than cheering. I think a nice electronic baffle closing Lynah off the air might help ... Butby profudge - Hockey
Re: York 10/19/13 - 10 years ago
Shots were 53-10; and Team looked good against York. York was a step or two slower than what we will see in regular season. York's 2 goals came in third period the 1st on a power play when the fairly open shooter rang it off the far post and in. Their 2nd goal came with under a minute left, one of their better players, (# 12 defense man?) stepped up on a deflected puck near center ice andby profudge - Hockey
Re: Red/White Game Saturday - Free Admission, Great Raffle - 10 years ago
Red and white game was fun to watch - play was a bit rough and ice got a bit slow later in periods and was not great for the shootout at the end thus favoring the keepers a bit. Freshman class seems to have some real size - and some real potential. The women looked good! some nice passing and nice moves. For the men, both Pat McCarron and Clint Lewis fit in well on defense showing strongby profudge - Hockey

Rich, adding kids like: Ryan Coon — Taft School; goalie, I see as 3rd on depth chart - but brings good academics might also help our score in the future, He won math prize at graduation at Taft. I think folks leaving early hits the score some also, no?by profudge - Hockey
