arugula scoop85 upprdeck Kirst rumored to come back. Lets see. The key part of the game were the 2 TWO min penalties we didnt even really generate shots down 2. A few bad unforced turnovers in a game like that hurt as well. Kirst and Long both coming back How is Long coming back? Is the line on his 6th year? Sorry too quick-isn’t he like in his sixth year?by arugula - Other Sports

We screwed ourselves over. Unlike hockey at least we blew it by playing a strong schedule. Harder to be too upset about some of the lacrosse losses versus hockey losing to Colgate etc. Funny that Kirst is the Award candidate when Long is the most important player. If my math is right is that 100 total seasons between hockey and lacrosse of being national contenders and never winning. Raby arugula - Other Sports
Re: 2024-25 MEN'S SCHEDULE - 10 days ago
The Rancor Todd R ASU released their schedule today. Jan 3-4 in Desert Hockey Classic tournament with ASU, Robert Morris, and U Mass. Not clear yet who we will play in the first game. I'm happy with this. Each game is a true OOC game, and all 4 teams are from different conferences. I dislike seeing us play an ECAC team in an OCC game. True. Hopefully we get UMass to at least guarantee one highby arugula - Hockey

Adam-any insight into how this will affect Cornell’s recruiting?by arugula - Hockey
Re: Cornell lacrosse 2024 - polls 4/22 - 11 days ago
But hockey did beat several good teams-BU, ASU, drew UMASS. Not the best schedule but not terribly weak.by arugula - Other Sports

Chris '03 arugula Bracketology on IL has us as number 8-playing Penn State (no!), if we win playing Notre Dame. Oh boy… And then potentially Syracuse and Denver in the rematch tour. Speaks to strength of schedule which will help in myriad ways.by arugula - Other Sports

Not that it matters, but this is the final poll. Shouldn't we be 5? billhoward Cornell loses by 1 goal to the #1 team and drops a position in the polls to 9th. 10th in RPI. Media poll is in, Quint Kessenich's personal poll is in (Cornell 10), USILA coaches poll strolls in late Monday / Tuesday. All have Yale rated above Cornell by 1-2 positions, FWIW. Men's Division I Media Poll Rank Team Points Prev 1 Notre Dame (8 - 1) 500(25)by arugula - Other Sports

BearLover Laughing at teams like BC/BU/NoDak/Quinnipiac losing just doesn’t hit the same when they’ve won national championships recently. (BU fans might try to claim 15 years is a long time, but to a Cornell fan it’s definitely not.) At the same time, each brutal loss by Cornell feels extra crushing because it’s been so long since we’ve won at hockey or lacrosse (“our sports,” as scoop85 puts itby arugula - Hockey
Re: Opponents and Others 2023-24 - 26 days ago
Was rooting for BU shockingly. Eastern bias. We beat them. Caron was an Ivy Leaguer. If BC gets through have to root for them-Malone.by arugula - Hockey

marty BearLover Pghas My understanding is that Wishart is headed to play at Middlebury. Such a difficult thing to predict who will develop and how. Guys who lit it up in juniors sometimes get to college and are a little fried and maybe don't push as much as they once did. Or maybe they hit a ceiling while other kids really do not. Trotsky arugula Hopefully Q losing their top guns has the impact Harvard losing theirs did. Watch Rand's head explode...Q can just reload with whatever's available. Harvard has to at least ostensibly pretend to observe admissions requirements (I know, I know). Hopefully what’s available isn’t great. The grad years types are the danger.by arugula - Hockey

Correct. Ives is corporate but the extension programs are heavily union based. I am a union lawyer and when I was at ILR in the 80s I think it was more corporate.by arugula - Hockey
