Re: Cornell Hoops to the Garden - 14 years ago
FYI, last year the Saturday afternoon semifinal games were Columbia vs. VA Tech and St. John's vs. Marist and attendance was 4,713. Also tickets were $40 and $25 for different seating levels. I couldn't find attendance information for Sunday afternoon but I would imagine it would be no more than 5k.by je08 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell @ NoDak, Friday, Nov. 28, 2008: TV Viewing Locations Thread - 15 years ago
LeprechaunI'm in the San Francisco area (actually in Redwood City), and am looking for someplace that'll have the game on. Does anybody know a place that will have the game, or know of a gathering? HI RJC!by je08 - Hockey

Re: Men's lax to play UVA - 15 years ago
KeithKJosh '99Cornell and Syracuse first met in 1920, and have played 93 times since, marking one of the oldest rivalries in college lacrosse. The two programs have won a combined 13 national championships.I hate to make fun of our program like this, but isn't that like saying "Greg and Mike Maddux have won a combined 389 MLB games"? It's probably closer to Phil (318) and Joe (221) Niekby je08 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell jersey spotted on TV - 16 years ago
While watching the Michigan-Notre Dame game, the cameras showed the Notre Dame penalty box and I saw someone in a white Cornell jersey in the first row behind the glass. It's nice to have SOME representation at the Frozen Four.by je08 - Hockey
Re: Cornell - Navy lacrosse Sat 2/23 - 16 years ago
billhoward Mitchel Field, where Cornell and Navy play Sat. 2/23, is said to have a permanent capacity of 6,000 and an expandable capacity of 12,000. Based on those who've seen Cornell play lacrosse on Long Island recently, is this enough to fit all the fans? This game will not sell out. It's not like last year's Hewlett HS game which had very low capacity. Anybody should have no problem gettby je08 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell-RIT postgame - 16 years ago
Section A BansheeScersk '97Chris '03Doug '08It seems that in general the Cornell fanbase is deteriorating. I think it's called being a senior. After the point in your freshman year when you figure out all the cheers, it's strictly downhill from there. Though I am disappointed that it seems there haven't been any real loud mouths in the band in a while. Second. I think now it's difficultby je08 - Hockey

Mitch Belisle scores the first of his Cornell career 13 seconds into the 3rd quarter. Out of town: Syracuse leads Binghamton 7-4 at halftime - this game is on Ch. 26 TWS (Syracuse leads faceoffs 12-0)by je08 - Other Sports

(Listening in Ithaca) After Yale led 2-1 early, Cornell scored 13 straight goals. Yale put one in at the buzzer. 1 2 CU 4 10 YU 2 1by je08 - Other Sports
Re: Ticket update: Cornell lacrosse vs. Notre Dame on Long Island (now reportedly sold out) - 17 years ago
I had advance tickets and everything was smooth. There weren't any road closures and the entire game experience was great. I knew about potential parking issues in advance and avoided them by parking a short walk away.by je08 - Other Sports
Re: 2007-2008 Schedule - 17 years ago
I don't know if anyone pointed this out yet, but the 2008 ECAC Quarterfinals weekend conflicts with the first weekend of Cornell's spring break and the semis in Albany coincide with the second weekend of spring break. The playoff weekends are one week later (compared to Cornell's academic calendar) than they have been since at least 2005.by je08 - Hockey
Re: 2007 men's lacrosse schedule released - 17 years ago
David HardingI wonder how big the stadium is there. There's no "stadium" there. Hewlett HS has a grass field with a pretty small amount of bleachers on one side of the field. Last year's Cornell v. Notre Dame LAX game had 3523 in attendance. Given the popularity of lacrosse on Long Island, I would expect the bleachers to be very packed.by je08 - Other Sports
