Bad news regarding tickets for Cornell lacrosse's unusual "neutral"-site game at Hewlett High School on Long Island (Hewlett, NY) this Saturday at 1 p.m.: All 1,700 2,000 of the advance-purchase tickets are sold out. But all is not lost, especially if you're able to get to the venue a few hours early. According to HHS, they are holding 300 walk-up tickets for sale on game day. The box office will open at 11 a.m., two hours before faceoff. Based on demand, better get there early and hope for the best. I've been warned that parking is scarce anywhere near the venue. For detailed parking advice, go to [www.hewlett-woodmere.net]

Update: Now I'm told that there may not be any game day tickets released. A lot of inexperience and miscommunication at play here. I'll try to post another update tomorrow.

Hewlett High School officials now have been advised to tell people that all tickets are sold out. Also be warned of road closures. Could be ugly tomorrow.

I had advance tickets and everything was smooth. There weren't any road closures and the entire game experience was great. I knew about potential parking issues in advance and avoided them by parking a short walk away.
