Re: CU - tUMD postgame - 18 years ago
Carefoot did play a good game, but Williams was deserving of a spot on the team. Seemed he was everywhere on the ice on Tuesday and then he had some nice skate/stick work to score UMD's only goal against Cornell. As to the shootout, I was shocked when OB was sent out. I was even more shocked when Topher wasn't sent out. OB managed a pretty poor shot that went wide of the goal; you have to thinby ebilmes - Hockey

There was also some confusion with Topher being introduced before the final. I think they introduced him as someone else.by ebilmes - Hockey

Section A BansheeAh, whoops. I'm at the mercy of my family and had to come back to Orlando today instead of staying for the championship. Don't think any of the other band members will be back for tonight's game either. Sorry. It's OK...we had fun doing Rocky/Gary Glitter, fight song, etc. a capella.by ebilmes - Hockey

But San Jose defenseman Doug Murray is a little different -- how did a guy from Sweden end up with a name like that? He said his Scottish ancestors relocated to Sweden centuries ago. This doesn't deserve its own thread, but does anyone know exactly what happened with McKeown? This might have been discussed at some point, but he's not on the roster this year.by ebilmes - Hockey
