Re: Quinnipiac/Princeton roll call - 18 years ago
In a stroke of poor planning, the CT Regional Band festival is this weekend. So I won't be able to make what would otherwise be the shortest trip of the year to see Cornell.by ebilmes - Hockey

I'm having trouble remembering a time in the past few years when Cornell's moved down after having done nothing but win the previous weekend, even if it is a weak win against a poor team.by ebilmes - Hockey
Re: Cornell-RIT post game - 18 years ago
duffs4 Assesment: Cornell plays to the level of the other team. Could not agree more. At Yale we brought down our level of play to match theirs; same thing against Niagara. The UMD game was the most solid of the few games I've seen this year. Last night sounded like we just played a boring game physically and offensively (with the exception of OB's hit). Sure, we had 56 shots, but like otheby ebilmes - Hockey

Number of Posts - 18 years ago
I had always liked to see how many posts people had by looking at their profiles. I know I can still look at my own number, but I can't see others'. Is this part of a de-emphasis on competitive posting, or is it possible we could have this feature back? Thanks, though, Age, for the new design.by ebilmes - Hockey
Re: A Modest Proposal: The Bucknell Plan - 18 years ago
Ritajust looked at the cornell schedule, and it seems they have invited their own patsy to newman arena... Keuka college. Good thing, too. Keuka is undefeated at home this year (5-1 overall).by ebilmes - Hockey

To be honest, I cringed when I saw our OOC schedule this year. It had just been made very clear to us (when we were sent to Minny) that the Selection Committee values RPI much more than other factors, especially polls. And then the OOC schedule comes out: Niagara, RIT, MSU, Estero. While we ended up having more trouble with Niagara than I had expected, beating them certainly doesn't help our RPI.by ebilmes - Hockey
Re: CU - tUMD postgame - 18 years ago
exposcohenI would have thought that there would be more people in Estero but was disappointed. That's about normal for the four years we've been going down there. Last year I think we had a few more people who stood for the whole games. With the relatively few Faithful living in the South and the students/band on vacation, I don't think you can be too disappointed.by ebilmes - Hockey

Re: Canadian World Junior Hockey Camp Opens - 18 years ago
I saw Pokulok at Yale and he was by far our best defenseman that game. I left feeling that he was 100% and would be a major contributer this season. Since then, though, it sounds like he hasn't been that impressive. I think I'm with the majority in that I believe Pokulok has a lot of talent; hopefully this stint will get him motivated and back on track.by ebilmes - Hockey
