Re: UNH Pregame Thread (RIT and Denver too) - 14 years ago
DL munchkin Josh '99 ebilmes Greenberg '97 sockralex mnagowski Um, why does everybody misspell UNH? Yeah, it's a long story that involves their own fans' inability to put their U-H-N signs in correct order. The story ends with them sucking and not deserving respect when being discussed in pregame discussion. Somewhere in the middle of the story is the tale of a goal that was waved off on a &by judy - Hockey

Jordan 04 Josh '99 Jordan 04 KenP cu722001 Umile says UNH has a young team. They have a poor out of conference record because they've played some very tough teams, among which he did not mention Cornell. And most of those games were early when the team's youth really showed. Schaefer says UNH is strong in transition while CU is strong inside the blue lines. Should be an game of contrasts. Iby judy - Hockey

lhayes It seemed to me last weekend that the boards in Albany were very rough and unpredictable -- the puck was often not where the guys expected it. The ice also seemed soft or something, contributing to passes being less crisp than they should have been. More practice with these conditions might help. It was also quite warm in Albany last weekend. In the rink was colder than outside but itby judy - Hockey

Greenberg '97 judy So for those of us who didn't go with express shipping, is regular shipping UPS ground? No idea. I figured express gave me the best chance of getting them by tomorrow, plus I have this disposable wad of $20 bills that I like to throw Cornell's way whenever possible. I didn't receive any tracking information, so I was shocked when I heard they were delivered this morning.by judy - Hockey

jtwcornell91 I'll be in Albany, but not Syracuse. And because some people had the nerve to ask, if Cornell plays RIT on Saturday, I will be rooting for Cornell. We didn't ask. We demanded and threatened.by judy - Hockey

Re: Why the hate/dislike of Cornell? - 14 years ago
Josh '99 toddlose To be hated is not a bad thing. How many people hate Brown hockey or the Pittsburgh pirates? When you chronically suck, people tend to not care about you either way. Take it as a complement!!I hate Brown hockey. I think they play dirty and we always have guys get hurt when we play them. (But I think your general point is still valid.) They also have obnoxious 10 year old fansby judy - Hockey

RichH judy KeithK JasonN95 Looks like the League took the high road. The self-interested move would have been to drag their feet for a day and then hit him with a suspension to be served during the next League game. Nah. Harvard was going to lose to Northeastern whoever they put out there. So might as well do it right. Hm, yup, Harvard lost to Northeastern...as expected. Outscored this year 1by judy - Hockey
