Re: Cornell 4 Colgate 3 @ Newark postgame - 13 years ago
If you had posted this a day or two earlier, I could've gone to check it out! The building where the rink is, it looks like crap from the outside, much older than the hotels/casinos around it but the inside looks like it's been modernized. They also have advertisements up.by judy - Hockey
Re: Prince-ton's do-ing Yo-ga (on The Commons) - 13 years ago
nyc94 ScrewBU andyw2100 Apparently the Princeton team is on The Commons, doing yoga in a big circle, as I type this. (First-hand report from my 16 year-old daughter.) She called to ask me what she should do. (How best to reasonably taunt them.) Since she does yoga, I proposed that she get in the middle of the circle and start doing Yoga poses herself. I think it is highly unlikely she will take mby judy - Hockey
Re: Prince-ton's do-ing Yo-ga (on The Commons) - 13 years ago
Well that's pretty awesome, even if it's Princeton. Yoga is supposed to be a good supplemental exercise for athletes. Hell, I swear by it for my back. Is it warm in Ithaca today cuz I can't imagine doing yoga in the cold.by judy - Hockey
Re: Harvard Hockey T-Shirt Slogan Contest - 13 years ago
Killer Only 250? I know, I know, that may still exceed the number of people who show up. But as a public service, shouldn't they hand one out to everyone who attends, just to provide something that could be used to shield one's eyes against the glare from Teddie's dome? So Teddy's still there and hasn't been let go over the summer?by judy - Hockey
Re: Harvard Hockey T-Shirt Slogan Contest - 13 years ago
munchkin I got this in my e-mail and was a little surprised that they'd send it to the list of anyone who has purchased tickets in the past. That's a rather broad audience to be asking for a team slogan. I wonder how many on the list are "cornell.edu" emails.by judy - Hockey

Re: CU's 2010-2011 Schedule - 13 years ago

Re: HARVARD SUCKS - 13 years ago
Trotsky More grist for the rumor mill as part of the report (the important one for eligibility purposes) is from a more "official" site. The first name I saw on that twitter feed was Danny Biega. Then, I saw Leblanc and wondered if there was actually a Harvard fan who cared enough to do a twitter feed about Harvard players. #HarvardSucksby judy - Hockey

Josh '99 (For the sake of goodwill, you should hug the next Capitals fan you see.) Aww thanks :D Can't say I didn't see it coming but really, as some of you heard from me last night, did it really have to be Dominic Moore? It would've hurt less (for me at least) had it be OB who scored that gwg but DMoore?by judy - Hockey

Rita judy Jeff Hopkins '82 Rita According to NHL.com, Ryan O'Byrne is seeing some playoff action tonight. He is a +1, no PIMs with 8:42 of ice time through 2 periods. Unfortunately, I can't watch him play, because the Assholes at Comcast Miami say that my Center Ice package ended on 4/12 and that playoffs are not included . munchkin The Sharks commentators have an amusing series of you tube videos done in their hotel after the games. This most recent one also has a lot of Murray love. &hl=en_US&fs=1& The Sharks and the Blackhawks are probably the only two teams that can stop and laugh at themselves. They have the most hilarious videos.by judy - Hockey

RichH judy mnagowski Greening gives a nice shout out to the Lynah Faithful who were cheering for him in Detroit: I am really surprised that he heard us. Sound got swallowed in Ford Field. scoop85 ugarte Yawn. Wisconsin 8, RIT 1 (Final) BC 3, Miami 0 (Mid 2d) Yeah, two brutal games. I thought BC-Miami would be entertaining, but no luck with that It was very entertaining to see the mass exodus of fans by the time BC got to goal 5, 6, and 7.by judy - Hockey

Greenberg '97 Jim HylaAs an aside, I wonder if RIT will be as helpful to get their students to Detroit as to Albany. If they really want to be helpful, they should expedite the passport process. Re: RIT fans - 14 years ago
jtwcornell91 I've seen a number of RIT games this year, and the Corner Crew is indeed pretty impressive, although I wish they would learn the word "sieve" and use the word "suck" a little less. There is quite a lot of ritual and coordination, with themselves, the band, and the PA announcer at Ritter Arena. I think some of them may be wound a little tight, though. I was ovby judy - Hockey

Trotsky dbilmes I watched the third period of the Yale game. Yale used three goalies, none of whom played well. There was virtually no defense being played by either team. It was certainly an entertaining game to watch! Their empty net was outstanding. It was, wasn't it! It did better than their sieves!by judy - Hockey

Kyle Rose kaelistus You do know that many athletes and family read this forum right? This is even worse when they had such a great season, that just didn't meet whatever expectation you had for the team. In the future, I'll be sure to discuss any negative thoughts regarding Cornell hockey where players' families won't be reading: maybe on some forum related to knitting or motorcycles.
