Wow. Great list. Two more and you'd have a penalty box "Ten Most Wanted"by TimV - Hockey
Re: Other Friday night scores 11/10 - 17 years ago
Yeah, it seemed from the box score your guys took a lot of penalties. Tell me about what happened? Edit: (Never mind, the answer's lower in the thread... Thanks anyway)by TimV - Hockey
Harvard's first goal - 17 years ago
Was an exact duplicate of an early power play score in last year's ECACHL Championship. The D has to sharpen up on Back-door alertness and crease-clogging. Better yet, I'd like to see us get more motion down low on OUR PP.by TimV - Hockey

Re: Iggulden-esque - 17 years ago
I had the exact same thought - very similar to the OT game winner his senior year at Union that was on this board's video list. Probably this one should be there too. Interesting that the media guide says Kennedy "brought to mind memories of Mike Iggulden." AND Iggulden also wore number 18.by TimV - Hockey
Re: Sea of Red/White Out? Why? - 17 years ago
This sounds too much like RPI's lame Big Red Freakout - the only time of year the Houston fans make any noise at all (other than fights and the occasional home goal.) We don' need no steenkin' special nights. They're ALL huge nights when Lynah's rocking.by TimV - Hockey

Strange configuration of their rink... - 17 years ago
I notice the Harvard bench is at center ice - equal access to both offensive and defensive zones. The visitor's bench across the ice seems to be stradling a blueline. This has to be a relative disadvantage, No? Is it because of the location of the penalty box?by TimV - Hockey

javascript:ol('http://timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=473419&category=SPORTS&BCCode=HOME&newsdate=4/20/2006'); "It was none of this Cornell hockey where you sit and it's basically rugby on ice," MacDonald said. "He wants to play a skill game, and that is the way we want to play. We're going to have to be quick." Jeez. All I can say is: SCOREBOby TimV - Hockey

Awful short-stick defense.. - 18 years ago
Two of Perit's goals came against our short stick mid who lost position with bad footwork and didn't close in and use upper bvody push-out. Most other SU goals just great offense.by TimV - Other Sports

Missed open nets, stupid penalties, unimaginative power play. We're lucky we're in it. Regrettably, i agree with the Sucks fans - we're overrated. And we have been all year.by TimV - Hockey
Is there a way to swap regional tickets? - 18 years ago
I have four seats to the Albany NCAA regionals. If we get placed in a different region, is there a ticket exchange that all participating teams can go to?by TimV - Hockey
Re: parking? - 18 years ago
There's usually plenty of parking within three blocks of the arena. About 3-5 bucks outside, depending on how close you get, and a coupla garages including one attached to the arena. The other possibility would be to meet and park at the Howard Johnson at exit 23 of the thruway, then go North on I-787 which is very close by about 2 miles to the arena exit.by TimV - Hockey

PUHLEEZE....... - 18 years ago
It's not "dirty" but it IS illegal.... Simple. Unfortunately, the rule is what it is. In lacrosse if the hittee turns so as to cause a hit to become illegal, the rules specify that no penalty be called. Hockey doesn't have that specification as far as I know. Hence illegal. BUT NOT DIRTY!by TimV - Hockey

Re: This Week's Column is Up - 18 years ago
You kinda trivialized the game at RPI. They win that and they get the top seed and the reg season title. I know there are tons of threads here that basically say "IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER" but I get the feeling that when we win, it's huge, and when we lose, it's not. I'm 15 minutes from Pepsi Arena, but I'm not as confident as you are that I'll get to see my team next weekend.by TimV - Hockey

Re: Cornell @ RPI postgame - 18 years ago
Can we pleeeease stop taking solace in outshooting our opponents? Low quality shots are not gonna do it for us. "BLah teams" that have put it to us this year: RPI 2x, Union, Princeton, Clarkson, and oh yeah - BROWN took us to OT. We are just not that good folks. And all this stuff is just whistling past the graveyard. I am not at all confident of seeing us in Albany this year. Aby TimV - Hockey
