"It was none of this Cornell hockey where you sit and it's basically rugby on ice," MacDonald said. "He wants to play a skill game, and that is the way we want to play. We're going to have to be quick."
Jeez. All I can say is:
SCOREBOARD!!!!

Had trouble getting the above link to work, but found the story at:
There's another article at
[www.timesunion.com]
which includes quotes from Ned. It also mentions that Ned started at RPI in 1949 and coached there for 18 years, which is wrong.
There are also links in the articles above to other articles on Seth Appert becoming coach.

Ned coached lacrosse at RPI before he coached hockey. [www.rpiathletics.com] It looks like he started coaching lacrosse in 44-45. His last year coaching hockey was 62-63. So it looks like he coached at least one in 19 school years. Thus, it is indeed wrong.jkahn

Any team that allowed the Tappers on the ice forever loses the right to snark about "rope and grope."

The only thing resembling rugby that I can remember from this year's game at RPI occurred when the Engineer flag-wavers attempted to run in front of the Cornell section after RPI's second goal.

No, the scoreboard that had Cornell one goal away from the Frozen Four and RPI losing at home to the Q.

I've ever seen a scoreboard that gives you that much information!
