Nice article. In comparing this team to our team 2 years ago I would say you overlooked one glaring thing and that is maturity. Also, the team two years ago underachieved the entire regular season and peaked for the playoffs. IMHO they were never given the credit they deserved.
This years team is young and talented, and has 3 lines that score consistently.....maybe even four. Here are the top 15 with others making up the fourth line and alt d-men.
## Player POS YR | GP G A PTS PEN/MIN
32 Nick Dodge F SO | 36 15 25 40 27/ 70
19 David Cayer F SO | 35 12 22 34 22/ 44
27 Jeff Genovy (CBJ) F SR | 36 12 15 27 27/ 70
10 Mike Sullivan (LAK) F JR | 34 15 11 26 11/ 30
91 Shea Guthrie (NYI) F FR | 31 8 17 25 17/ 56
11 Chris D'Alvise F FR | 35 8 17 25 5/ 10
9 Shawn Weller (OTT) F SO | 35 14 8 22 33/ 99
3 Michael Grenzy (CHI) D JR | 34 3 19 22 9/ 18
15 Steve Zalewski (SJS) F SO | 33 8 12 20 15/ 46
14 Grant Clitsome (CBJ) D SO | 34 2 17 19 10/ 20
20 Brodie Rutherglen F JR | 34 4 10 14 9/ 18
8 Chris Brekelmans D SR | 34 4 5 9 18/ 47
2 Philippe Paquet (MON) D FR | 35 2 5 7 35/ 89
12 Tyrell Mason (NYI) D FR | 36 1 4 5 17/ 34
18 Max Kolu D JR | 35 3 0 3 14/ 28
Of course with youth comes immaturity and undiscipline play. I see Schafer playing physical and looking to draw the immature retaliation reactions from our guys. Just my opinion.

You kinda trivialized the game at RPI. They win that and they get the top seed and the reg season title. I know there are tons of threads here that basically say "IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER" but I get the feeling that when we win, it's huge, and when we lose, it's not. I'm 15 minutes from Pepsi Arena, but I'm not as confident as you are that I'll get to see my team next weekend.
