Re: intramural hockey gone :( - 14 years ago
Reffing the sorority games was always fun. You could call offsides every 20 seconds and they wouldn't even figure it out by the end. Also, my freshman year I broke a sherwood by trying to stop myself in the corner by the zamboni door and the stick blade slid under the door and snapped the stick in half. I was shocked and didn't know what to do, so I skated around with the top half of the stick foby Jacob '06 - Other Sports

There is also the fact that the dome is much bigger than Starr, so tickets are easier to come by. I also believe there may be a CHA bus trip for Colgate which would take up a good portion of Cornell's allotment of tickets there. Theby Jacob '06 - Other Sports

pfibiger Also, Murray and Vesce are on Versus tonight, the Sharks are playing the Rangers. Vesce getting a lot of attention early on due to being from Long Island and being close to home. It is pretty interesting that they are playing him on the first line with Heatley and Thornton. I guess it gives him a little more space to move around as those two are going to get a lot of attention from tby Jacob '06 - Hockey

TrotskyRatushnyFanSharks were awful last night. Caps rejuggled their top two lines and at least so far dividing up the talent seemed to work. Off topic: anyone see that 9 year old trick shot? It's pretty tough to do that even at half speed. There must be three different versions of it by 9 years olds on YouTube by now. Maybe we can get our guys to learn it. Harvard's O-line dominated our d-line for most of the game and especially in the 4th quarter. 28-20 final after Harvard calls a misdirection play to score a TD on what would have been the last play of the game to run out the clock.by Jacob '06 - Other Sports

Ronald '09 Can someone who watched the game tell me whether he is regularly skating with Boyle or if it was in the middle of a line change or the pairings were screwed up after a penalty or something? I did not watch last night, but the first 2 games he was paired with Boyle at even strength.by Jacob '06 - Hockey

David HardingI received that e-mail, too. Does this imply that there won't be an all-class event like the one two years ago? Does anybody know what other parties there might be? There was an e-mail I got for a general gathering, but I deleted it. It was from the alumni association so there may be info on their website or someone else probably has the e-mail and will post it here.by Jacob '06 - Hockey

RichH Frankly, if they wanted a smaller venue, I think that the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport would have been adequate. It's convenient to highways, train, and ferry. It has hosted NCAA events. It has a large enough surrounding population (yet close to small communities) to satisfy many fans, and it's in a familiar region to most league fans. And is in an awful area and no one would rby Jacob '06 - Hockey
