Chris '03 chimpfood Iceberg chimpfood If one of the 5,6 or 7 seeds are upset we would play harvard which would be both exciting and scary as they are playing pretty well right now and got the better of us earlier this year. If there's any team I could see being upset in one game, it would be Harvard. IMO Brown would be the best match-up of all. They haven't looked good against Cornell in eitherby RichH - Hockey

Trotsky 2 goals on 3 shots vs Shane. But the second one was a deflection; nobody gets that. 2 early failures of the PK. Frustrating to see us struggle with both sides of special teams. Also to see opponents show off an effective PP. 7 seconds on the 2nd one.by RichH - Hockey

Swampy George64 osorojo I was hoping for a cogent explanation (or excuse) for current Cornell Men's hockey pitiful record against opponents ranked 20th best - or worse! adamw BearLoverSorry, yeah—the question I’m asking is how much higher our RPI would be if we changed an OT loss to a regulation win. I only mentioned Clarkson because the clear outcome of an effective hand pass challenge would have made this hypothetical a reality. 1.200 for straight win - 0.400 for the OT loss ... but then obviously divide by all the games played so far - and that a team's ownby RichH - Hockey

Dafatone My sanity versus these announcers is the battle now. You can absolutely lift a stick and keep it tied up for the half a second that a guy is trying to shoot. Now that the drunk uncles at Brown have been led out to pasture, these guys take the crown. The past 5 minutes have been about how the refs must live in Schafer’s guest house to get so many calls. Re: Cornell @ Clarkson, 2/23 - 2 months ago
upprdeck iceing, lose a draw, allow a crazy angle shot and goal then give away in OT behind the net. Lots of things to go wrong to get a loss and why is Clarkon the place so many of them happen. As the game wore on, and we kept playing poorly, I could see this ending, because it's happened before. I hate that building. It makes me mad because Cheel is such an un-intimidating and sterile pby RichH - Hockey

scoop85 Trotsky George64 Gabriel Seger Named 2024 ECAC Hockey Men's Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Congratulations Gabe! Also interesting to note, Cornell alum, Ben Tupker ‘23, was Union’s nominee.Often "scholar" athlete awards have more than a hint of bullshit about them, but from that article Seger certainly sounds like an impressive student. George64 Do any of these metrics factor in how a team is doing recently, versus how they played in November 2023? It used to be part of the criteria. “Record in last 10” or something similar back when the smoke-filled room still held a scrap of power. I remember being against that then.by RichH - Hockey

rojo Per CBS Sports: Sam Malinski was reassigned to AHL Colorado on Saturday. Malinski was scratched for Saturday's 4-0 loss to the Panthers. It was his third scratch in four games since the All-Star break, so it's no surprise he's going down to the Eagles to get some playing time. Malinski has emerged as the top call-up option when the Avalanche need reinforcements. So he was reassigned from Cby RichH - Hockey

upprdeck tickets are being sold. people are not coming.. In the old days people came all the time.. Now many townies have tickets but dont come both nights. You cant give them away any more so sold tickets become empty seats more often on the townie side, even with very good teams. I dont think pricing is keeping the students away.
