Re: 2024 Awards - 5 weeks ago
I’m not going to do the work here, but CU had an individual in the finalist (top 3) list for every ECAC award except Rookie of the Year. The only win was Ian Shane for the League Dryden Award. Old friend Ben Tupker won the Sportsmanship award at Union, and Sullivan Mack was also in the final 3 up for that award.by RichH - Hockey

French Rage BearLover When asked in the postgame interview what the message was coming out for the third, Walsh said that they “were just doing it for a lot of the guys leaving, especially the younger guys.” Huh? Coach Schafer appeared possessed for a moment and then told the team "if you lose this game, you'll take it to your fucking graves". *pause* “Your fucking graves.” I’by RichH - Hockey

billhoward adamw billhoward Correct, the ECAC site box score has it as 3839, or 49.9% full in a 7700-seat arena, for Colgate's 3-2 win over Harvard a year ago in Placid. I never know if the site publishes tickets sold for the game or people who actually come in. I don't know any venue on the planet anymore that counts people who come in. It's always tickets sold. Re: Lake Placid-2024 - 5 weeks ago
newco113 Jim Hyla For some perspective, horrors: Neither Q, SLU, nor Dartmouth have anything on their website about tickets, just a link to the LP site. Yup, we are all in a panic about it too. I'm getting flooded with messages from friends and fellow fans about the ticket info and we know we are in Section 3. Just nothing yet on how to purchase tickets in that section. Re: Cornell lacrosse 2024 - 5 weeks ago
rss77 Per the ESPN coverage-I know it's cheaper for them to have remote announcers but they could have invested in a on site spotter to convey the adjustments made in the respective teams' lineups. E.g. Cornell short stick d-middies- no Chris Davis or Aiden Blake doing shifts, etc. Agree, but I thought they did a good job overall. andyw2100 Trotsky Beeeej Incidentally, this particular combination of four teams has never before been in the ECAC semis, Lake Placid or not. dbilmes Stonehill is only in its second year as a DI program. At one point this season, both of their goalies were injured and a defenseman had to play goal. On one hand, they did win 21 games this season, finishing 1 point out of 2nd in their league. (LIU was the runaway #1 seed but was upset in the semi). On another hand, Stonehill went 3-6 in OOC play and didn’t score until their 5th gamby RichH - Hockey
