Re: Game DQ for Palahicky - 22 years ago
I haven't seen a description of what happened at the game (though I am smart enough to figure out that there was a fight). What were the circumstances before the rumble at the end of the game?by ugarte - Hockey
Re: Hot Truck - 22 years ago
JTW, re: Hot Truck -- Good to know. Was it everything everyone remembered this weekend? Sorry that I couldn't join you.by ugarte - Hockey
Re: CHAMPIONS! - 22 years ago
I am stoked. ECAC Regular season champions. Ivy League Champions. What a great damn year. I couldn't care less who we play in the tournament. We are the best team in the league this year, and it shouldn't matter what order we play the other teams in. Either we will win, or we won't. LET'S GO RED!!!by ugarte - Hockey

This entire message has been edited out of existence. Sorry, Rich, if you read this before it was edited. I just read your post incorrectly.by ugarte - Hockey

Re: Everything But Anchovies - 22 years ago
I am amazed - this is the most popular thread in the short history of the eLynah board so far without any sign of letting up. (I don't remember too many at CHDF that ran this long either.)by ugarte - Hockey

The media is even less likely to react well when the criticism is stupid.by ugarte - Hockey
Re: Taxes, Overreactions and Joe Biden - 22 years ago
However you slice it, your original comment made no sense. You didn't post the URL for the cheers page because you were worried about copyright concerns (on a website that hosts the cheers page, no less)? By that logic, it is a wonder that books ever get published. My god, someone, as we speak, may be making illicit copies of Stephen King's latest gorefest! I hope he has some sort of legal remedby ugarte - Hockey

I also thought Joe's was overrated. The vaunted breadsticks were just like the crap at Olive Garden.by ugarte - Hockey
Re: Hot Truck - 22 years ago
I wouldn't. I loved Hot Truck when I was in college, and I would probably love it again if I could get it fresh from the truck. When I was in Ithaca in '98 at someone else's 5th reunion, Hot Truck was serving pizza that had been premade. Sucked. I certainly wouldn't get it by mail.by ugarte - Hockey

Re: Cornell @ Dartmouth, Feb 15 *game updates* - 22 years ago
We're quibbling. I just think it is sour grapes to piss on a guy (however little you think that you are pissing) after he has just shut us out.by ugarte - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Dartmouth, Feb 15 *game updates* - 22 years ago
That would explain Schafer's comments about how we didn't finish our chances, but it still sounds like sour grapes. When a goalie shuts us out for a 70+ minutes he deserves credit for it.by ugarte - Hockey
Re: USCHO Front Page - 22 years ago
Does that make our goalie tandem Manderhill and DaNeveu?by ugarte - Hockey
Re: Perspective - 22 years ago
Without a doubt Danny Schayes had an enviable career. I would trade my career for his in a heartbeat. Dad didn't give me the 7' genes, though.by ugarte - Hockey

Certainly not in the U.S. Caber tossing, anyone?by ugarte - Hockey
Re: Perspective - 22 years ago
I think you are missing Greg's point. Without scrolling back through all of these emails, he was saying that even if Mark is the fastest on the team, that doesn't make him fast for a college hockey player. For instance, Danny Schayes was the best Jewish player in the NBA for a while. You decide if the title is worth having.by ugarte - Hockey
Goalie alumni - 22 years ago
From an article on Hockeysfuture.com: : Goalie Jason Eliott is no longer considered as a possible Red Wings goalie, he might play another year in AHL until Stefan Liv arives. I certainly hope that isn't true. and its hard to tell exactly what they think of JMP:by ugarte - Hockey

I join Greg in thanking you, Robb. Very well done, and much appreciated. F'n Dartmouth!by ugarte - Hockey
Re: Offtopic: Olympics - 22 years ago
U.S. - Russia was a GREAT game. A tie seems appropriate. I hope that we get them again in the Gold Medal game (If that is even possible).by ugarte - Hockey

I'm shocked that nobody corrected this yet. It is obviously a mistake. He is class of '88.by ugarte - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Vermont, Feb 16 - 22 years ago
So, I can't find current scores, but someone correct me if wrong: Cornell beat Vermont; Dartmouth beat 'Gate; Brown beat Clarkson; SLU tied Harvard; I don't have scores for the Union/RPI games against Princeton/Yale what happened there. (Just to be nice, we should pretend that it matters.)by ugarte - Hockey
Re: Nick Boucher - White Trash Presto - 22 years ago
Which both the fans and the crowd deserve. I wish more players did it. Some players react and it is clear that we are in their head. Boucher reacts to show that we are not. I never would have thought that the Lynah crowd could dish it out but not take it.by ugarte - Hockey
Re: YUCK...WE LOST - 22 years ago
Rough crowd here. He didn't even say anything obnoxious! I don't actually hate Boucher. I just want to beat him like he's a rookie at a Fight Club. We better play them in LP to avenge this.by ugarte - Hockey
