Re: GPL Discussion - 18 years ago
Definitely lots of complaining on that board, but I have to admit that this possible shirt slogan was funny, especially with all the talk about the lack of scoring: Cornell Hockey. Offense is Offensive.by Bio '04 - Hockey
Re: NCAA Skills Challenge Participants Announced - 18 years ago
KeithKI think this is supposition that follows from the requirement that a player no longer be eligible to play in NC$$ games. Since the competition is on Friday of FF weekend a player from a team that is in the championship game will still have one game of college eligibility left and possibly would not be able to play. I might be misinterpreting your post, but I understand the whole bit abouby Bio '04 - Hockey

Jacob '06They also can't be on a team that is participating in the frozen four, so Moulson's selection means they don't really expect us to get there. I don't understand why voting for someone to be on the skills team means that their team isn't expected to make it to the Frozen Four. On the West team, there is someone named from Wisconsin (Adam Burish), a team which I'm sure a bunch of peopleby Bio '04 - Hockey
Re: Best/Favorite Cheers - 18 years ago
I liked this story that Angry "A" posted a few years ago about when the fans at Brown mispronounced Bâby's name: All I'm saying is that the enthusiasm at Lynah is obviously fantastic, both opposing coaches mentioned it after their games this weekend. Let's just try to be a little more intelligent. If anyone remembers, I think it was two years ago that we played at Brown and ourby Bio '04 - Hockey

Quote: daredevilcu But the burning question that I didn't find answered in the game thread... did you all throw the fishies? Fish were thrown (as las224 mentioned). Enough so that Pelle compained about it during his interview shown on CSTV. He mentioned that the Harvard team was told that there would be no fish and that the Cornell administration lied. Cornell Sun Poll - 18 years ago
There's a poll on the Cornell Sun's website about how far a person would go to see a CU Men's Ice Hockey game next year: I like how 38% put down Qatar, but that really shouldn't be such a surprise since many people would go to Vladivostok to see a game.by Bio '04 - Hockey
Re: Cornell - Harvard Viewing Parties (State College, PA) - 18 years ago
For State College/PSU people interested in watching the game: I get CSTV in my apartment and would be willing to host people. Or we could meet at Sports Cafe at the corner of Burrowes and W. College Ave, as I'm pretty sure that they that channel. Just let me know if you're interested in watching the game by PM. Thanks!by Bio '04 - Hockey
Re: Colgate is going to have a "whiteout" Sat night. Should we have a red out for the game friday night? - 18 years ago
I've noticed at Penn State, there is always a push to "white out" the student section during home football games and they do an amazing job (including getting a black "S" formation in the crowd). At the last PSU hockey game I went to, they were giving away white t-shirts to "white out" the crowd against Illinois. I don't know who organizes the give-aways at PSU,by Bio '04 - Hockey
