Re: Keep voting For McKee - 19 years ago
I also had problems getting to the Hobey site (as well as INCH... don't know if that's related) but I was able to log on recently and vote. Last I checked, there's two people from the ECAC in the top 10 (McKee and Mifsud from UVM).by Bio '04 - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs. Clarkson in DC - 19 years ago
Just thought I'd bump this to see what's going on. I'm definitely interested in watching the game on TV (as are some non-Cornell alums I work with). Are people set on going to Grand Slam? It was a great place to watch the BC game and I'm sure will be great for the Clarkson game.by Bio '04 - Hockey
Tuesday at the Rink - 19 years ago
Just saw this posted on USCHO: USCHO and CSTV have combined to start "Tuesday at The Rink," a weekly chat session with college hockey insiders. This week begins with USCHO columnist and CSTV analyst Adam Wodon at 2 p.m. ET, followed by CSTV analyst and junior hockey coach Dave Starman at 3 p.m. ET. Click the links below to ask your questions. EDIT: forgot to mention that thisby Bio '04 - Hockey

Looks like McKee and Moulson each recently got an additional vote. I did notice both Chabot and Davenport with 3 votes each...by Bio '04 - Hockey

Re: D'Alba for real? - 19 years ago
I would love to see D'Alba in action, but I'll only be able to make it to the Harvard game this weekend. I did a quick search on google for him and found that he played for Chicago Steel. Hopefully Topher will know how to score against his former teammate.by Bio '04 - Hockey
Re: Time of first goal - 19 years ago
Someone on USCHO posted that the goal came at 8:30. (Thanks for the updates Adam- they are much appreciated!)by Bio '04 - Hockey
Re: Cornell-BC post mortem - 19 years ago
Ah, thanks. I must have missed the word "audio" when people mentioned Harkness' interview.by Bio '04 - Hockey
Re: Cornell-BC post mortem - 19 years ago
I haven't noticed this mentioned yet, but it seemed like to me (and the others watching in DC) that O'Byrne's breakout that led to the shorthanded goal seemed so slow. Where was BC during that play? Also someone mentioned that there was an interview with Ned Harkness? When did that happen? I did notice the Hobey Baker feature before the game (much to the dismay of everyone at the sports barby Bio '04 - Hockey

Re: Polls 12/13 - 19 years ago
I think we may have risen last year in USCHO's poll during finals when we were idle. I do remember people commenting that we rose in INCH's poll because part of their "reason" was that the Cornell players did so well in their own skills competition.by Bio '04 - Hockey
Re: Today's Meeting: Reasons for Optimism? - 19 years ago
Don't know if anyone saw this, but INCH had this story (kind of related to the billboard near Brown, at least theme-wise): True story from last week: A Bulldog fans calls the Dish Network customer service line to ask if the UMD-Wisconsin games will be televised. The customer service professional, seemingly bewildered by the question, ask what sport. Upon hearing the reply, “college hockey,â€by Bio '04 - Hockey

Re: Dartmouth Photos - 19 years ago
Awesome pictures as usual! I was trying to figure out what's on Davenport's helmet. It doesn't look like it is related much to Cornell, so I'd be curious what his inspiration is. (I know previous goalies have had designs such as "rabid dog" and Spiderman, also not having a lot to do with Cornell. It's just cool when they do, like with McKee's helmet.) Also #27 is an interestingby Bio '04 - Hockey
Re: Majors for piddly shit - 19 years ago
I noticed this in The Sun this morning: The backbreaking call came against Moulson just over a minute into the period, when he received a game misconduct and a five-minute major for hitting from behind. Definitely lots of confusion across the board on the names of these two penalties.by Bio '04 - Hockey

Re: BC at Harvard (Sucks) - Tuesday, 11/16 - 19 years ago
I was listening to some of the feed and they said that Bright was sold out with a decent stream of students coming in even towards the very end of the game. I was shocked to hear that. First that they had fans there and second that perhaps they were listening to the game to know that Harvard was winning and therefore come over to the rink. And that "cowbell" was annoying. Re: OT: Simpsons mention Cornell - 19 years ago
I think Thomas Pynchon has been on the show before (with a paper bag over his head). Don't know if that's how it was yesterday since I couldn't watch it. So if Sideshow Mel went to Cornell, does that mean that Cornell is also considered to be a Clown College, just like Princeton?by Bio '04 - Hockey

Re: polls 11/8 - 19 years ago
Princeton seems to think that Vermont is a threat this year (not that that's saying much since it is Princeton): It was a weekend of shutouts on the road for men's hockey (1-2-1 overall, 1-1-0 ECAC), which came up on the short end of the stick Friday night against Vermont (5-4-1, 2-0-0) — one of men's hockey's powerhouses — but rebounded to capture the win on Saturday versus Dartmouth (1by Bio '04 - Hockey

It's official no fish on the ice. ::shocked:: A lot of people have been wondering how throwing toys on the ice is different than throwing fish. It sounds like you should give the toys to the ushers, rather than throw it on the ice. So you're still bringing something to the game, it just ends up in a different place. Also no one mentioned (at least this time around) that if you throw a toby Bio '04 - Hockey
