Re: CC/Bemidji/Wisconsin cheering - 18 years ago
There's got to be a cheer/sign out of this quote from the link RichH posted above: While most of the players by now have full beards, 18-year-old freshman Jack Skille is having some trouble cultivating much. "We gave Jack a fake beard, he's got one in the locker room that we made him wear last weekend at the Final Five," Burish said.by Bio '04 - Hockey
Re: CC/Bemidji/Wisconsin cheering - 18 years ago
Not very original (and again, perhaps not really able to be used if Cornell and Wisconsin don't play each other unless people want to make signs for the Wisconsin/Bemidji game), but some buttons that were handed out at the Wisconsin @ PSU football game this year included: "Too badger sad" "Bring a towel, scare a badger"by Bio '04 - Hockey

French RageBio '04The chant of "Thank you seniors" reminded me after the game of the "We're still Faithful" chant that was done after we lost the Clarkson playoff series in 2004. That would have been a nice one to do as well. What Clarkson series? That never happened. Maybe the series didn't happen but I still like the chant.by Bio '04 - Hockey
Re: CC/Bemidji/Wisconsin cheering - 18 years ago
Not sure if this would really work, but to quote the people on that Goopher Puck Live discussion that was posted here a few weeks back: "Cornell: even more obnoxious than Bucky" (edited for correct phrasing)by Bio '04 - Hockey

Best Sweater Rating Index - 18 years ago
Though completely subjective and silly, the guys at INCH rated the sweaters from different college hockey teams: I'm just wondering how Cornell didn't even get a tiny mention, seeing as how people like to say that Cornell has very nice sweaters. It also would have been nice to see a list of all the schools' rankings, and maybe choosing one sweater (either home or away) to consistently rby Bio '04 - Hockey

Re: Lynah Rink Renovation Blog - 18 years ago
I really need to get my lab to read a condensed version of the eLynah forum so that they know that I am one of many people who is extremely devoted to my alma mater and that has an almost (who am I kidding, almost) unhealthy obsession for its hockey team. Or perhaps it would just backfire and make me look crazier. Love the pictures!by Bio '04 - Hockey

Josh 03Maybe this has been covered and I missed it, but after the McCutcheon goal, listening to the Cornell PA announcer in the background, it didn't sound like Arthur. Anyone? Hmm, that's strange. It sounded like Arthur to me on the Clarkson broadcast.by Bio '04 - Hockey

DeltaOne81montague"We are BC" is the one and only cheer that sticks in my mind from the football game I attended. I hope they don't do that for hockey. That's an awful chant and they'd be torn to pieces. I came up with: "Why should we care?", "Wow, you can spell", and "We're so sorry" All is about 10 seconds. And I'm not even one of the more creativby Bio '04 - Hockey
Re: clarkson @ cornell, ecachl second round chatter - 18 years ago
redGrinchI-81 in PA; Harrisburg in particular; always under construction, plus one of the most boring drives on the east coast. From DC, you can avoid quite a bit of it if you take I-270 to Rt 15 through Gettysburg, and then over to I-81 via I think rt 581. Thanks for the advice, but unfortunately, I can't use those directions now since 1) I don't live in DC this year 2) My lab advisor now iby Bio '04 - Hockey

nyc94The closer it gets to game time the more cars you'll encounter on 79. I just made it for the anthems at the Nov. 2004 Harvard game. That sounds like my experience when I drove up with Molly. We were trying to get to that game in time for warmups but were relieved to get there by the anthems (I think). Lesson learned- leave before noon if coming from DC because driving through Harrisburgby Bio '04 - Hockey
Re: NCAA Skills Challenge Participants Announced - 18 years ago
I don't think the likelihood of a player making the FF or finals has little to do with who they're selecting for the competition. Ok, I think we're pretty much agreeing about the eligibility bit. I was just replying to Jacob's comment about the (likely) connection (according to him) between selection and probability of making the FF. (Which I also believe wasn't part of the selection process.)by Bio '04 - Hockey
