Re: Hockey's Future's ranking of NHL prospect performance - 20 years ago
The Big Red’s top line of freshman prospects Matt Moulson (PIT) and Byron Bitz (BOS) along with senior non-prospect Ryan Vesce account for a combined 31 points (14 goals, 17 assists). I'm sure Moulson likes the label "freshman prospect," too.by cornelldavy - Hockey

If I'm not mistaken, we played at Georgia Tech each of the last two seasons, so they owed us one. Also, in SI's college hoops preview, they mentioned Cornell as an Ivy contender while picking Princeton as the champ: "Junior center Judson Wallace has the range (26 for 72 in treys) to help the Tigers dethrone depleted Penn and hold off the challenge of Cornell." For what it's worth, Donby cornelldavy - Hockey

There's a poll on the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies' main page asking which rookie was most impressive in his Bullies debut. Out of the six choices, Sam Paolini's got 48% of the vote. Of course, he's still not getting that much respect...the Bullies' roster lists his birthplace as Toronto and his previous team as Port Huronby cornelldavy - Hockey

LeNeveu got a mention in this week's Sports Illustrated...unfortunately, it's in a sidebar about Marc-Andre Fleury, where the reference goes "After David LeNeveu allowed a pair of soft goals 74 seconds apart in the second period of a round-robin match against Finland, Canada coach Marc Habscheid lifted him for the wan, weak Fleury." Don't know if that sidebar is online, but it goes withby cornelldavy - Hockey

I suppose this could be on that other thread, but it works here, too. "The other option would be to wait until after the first game in the package is played (Princeton's visit in November)," said Hobin-Aubin. "At that point, tickets to the remaining games in the package will be released to Harvard-affiliated individuals only, including faculty, staff and alumni. Then, any extraby cornelldavy - Hockey

I used to have a bit of respect for the Sun writers, since I saw them often on roadtrips. Now if I see them, I'm not gonna let them forget what pricks they were from this hockey line story. As a former Sun Assistant Sports Editor, I've followed the comments on this forum for a long time, but after seeing this, I feel compelled to defend the writers as a whole. I certainly am not condoning cuby cornelldavy - Hockey
