the last section is about the cornell@harvard "ticketgate." new columnist juan martinez also invites readers to respond (one published response a week). i'd be a bit surprised (disappointed?) if next week's isn't by a member of the faithful commenting on the ticket issue.

[q]The two teams face each other for the first time since last season's dramatic league championship on December 12 in Ithaca, N.Y.[/q]
Is it just me, or is this a poorly constructed sentence?

I suppose this could be on that other thread, but it works here, too.
[Q]"The other option would be to wait until after the first game in the package is played (Princeton's visit in November)," said Hobin-Aubin. "At that point, tickets to the remaining games in the package will be released to Harvard-affiliated individuals only, including faculty, staff and alumni. Then, any extra tickets will go on sale to the general public January 5."[/Q]
Actually, I was in Boston earlier this week and I dropped by the Harvard ticket office to see if I could avoid the dreaded "package." No such luck, but the girl behind the counter (who explained to me that this was done because the Cornell game "is, like, the game" told me that I could wait until after the Princeton game to get the tickets only to the Cornell game. She also said that it would probably sell out the day they went on sale individually. Either she assumed I was a Harvard student, or anyone can get a ticket after the Princeton game.
Anyone know when the CU ticket office is going to get its allotment?

Damned Ivy Leaguers
Actually, my mom was an English teacher. She would cringe at a sentence like that.
