Re: Cornell 2020-21 plans - 3 years ago
upprdeck If they do the testing as they say they will they can make it happen.. how they do the testing who knows. Plans were to be full on saliva pool testing to save money and increase capacity. still havent seen signs of that. Cornell has a big med college, maybe they have plans to send tests to NYC on the bus and back every day for turn around. Frazier: Number one, those who live inby David Harding - John Spencer Is Dead

Re: LIU adds men's hockey - 3 years ago
ugarte jkahn With UAH dropping hockey, there's now a way that LIU can get themselves an instant D-1 team. And that former UAH squad with the LIU location would be a good fit for the ACHA.i don't know if LIU is far enough out on the Island to avoid culture shock If LIU is recruiting from the same pools that everyone else is, the team probably won't look a whole lot different than UAH.by David Harding - Hockey

dag14 Noel also noted that construction is at least a year out and given the pandemic issues he is comfortable with the timing . He also discussed potential locations with 2 central campus locations in the running. He favors putting it where the field hockey turf currently sits; the President et al prefer the spot east of the soccer field where the shot put, discus, et al throwing happens. This belongs in a 2020-2021 thread, but I'm not going to take responsibility for starting that one. The postponement of the summer Olympics by a year brings heartache those who have devoted a year to training. What does it mean for Cornell as a team next year?by David Harding - Other Sports

Re: Cornell Women Hockey - 4 years ago
jy3 Jeff Hopkins '82 Went to the women's game yesterday - my very first women's hockey game ever. It's a very different style game than the men's game. In the women's game, because of the "no checking" it's a lot more stick work on defense. In the men's game, you just bull your way through the defense. There also seemed to be a lot fewer scrums in the corners in the women's game.by David Harding - Hockey

Trotsky electrons lose energy (and speed) through radiation when they travel along an arc Huh. I always thought that from the electron's POV it wasn't an arc, it was a straight line through space that happened to be curved through no fault or concern of the electron.
