Re: Polls 2013-14 - 10 years ago
Jeff Hopkins '82 Wisconsin-Clarkson, Harvard-BC, and Quinny-Nodak, all flipped in the the Women's poll relative to the PWR. Sure looks like an anti-ECAC bias to me.Since 2005, the champship has been won by a western team every year; the runners-up have been other western teams four times, BU twice, Mercyhurst once, Cornell once. I suppose I can understand the bias on that basis.by Josh '99 - Hockey

Trotsky Kyle RoseI have a hard time believing the culture at any of these schools is substantially different from any of the others There are differences. Stanford specifically attracts the sort of Randian fucktard who ten seconds' exposure to actual humans renders moot. nyc94 KeithK nyc94 RichH ugarte Did the other ivies play with an empty net in '96? Looking at the stats? Kind of: Did Skazyk play substantially more of the minutes in Ivy games? Checking the boxes here is what I came up with for 1996 (Ivy only): Skazyk: 7 GP, 5-0-1, 361:46, 16 G, 2.65 GAA Elliott: 5 GP, 4-0-0, 248:40, 12 G, 2.89 GAA So Skazyk played about 60$ of the Ivy minutes odby Josh '99 - Hockey

Trotsky RatushnyFan I think he's a rental in MN if Vanek wants to be there. GMs usually go for top-end skill versus grit/determination/going to those dirty goal spots when they have a choice. I was actually wondering if Moulson would head back to the Islanders to play with his buddy Tavares. Seemingly Garth Snow closed that door, I heard him "defend" the Vanek trade on the NHL radiby Josh '99 - Hockey

Jim Hyla ugarte General feeling? That 5-0-4 was more of a mirage than I think we, collectively, wanted to admit. The last game before the streak was a loss to a TERRIBLE BU team.
