Re: Yale 21 at Cornell 7 football 2010 - 13 years ago
Our offensive coverage was pathetic. The QB had such a difficult time getting passes out and the running backs were struggling to move even a few critical yards. Our defensive line looked pretty weak as well. There were many instances where they cannot stop the opposing running backs simply because their backers came and helped to push the ball forward while our players stood there and just lookeby ajh258 - Other Sports
Re: New ECAC Website - 13 years ago
marty RichH This weeks poll is "What do you like most about the redesign of ECAC Hockey? Layout, Ease of Navigation, Color Scheme, Everything!" Uhhh... I'd search for the "tell us why you think we're awesome" feedback link, but I'd rather not vomit. Next week's poll: What do you dislike (most) about the ECACHL? 1) Tournament is no longer in Albany 2) Tournament is iby ajh258 - Hockey

Re: Paul Milstein Hall - 13 years ago
Kyle Rose RichHSomething that didn't exist until recently is Ithaca Carshare, which of course is the local version of ZipCar. Cornell pays the annual membership fee for all students and plan-enrolled faculty/staff. That certainly helps those who wish to live a carless existence. Zipcar and the like are great resources for those who only need a car occasionally, but they still suffer from tby ajh258 - John Spencer Is Dead
Re: Without a Peer Cornell preview - 13 years ago
will almost certainly be called on from the get-go. I have to disagree with the common misconception that Andy Iles will start immediately. Although Iles had more ice time last season, this does not necessarily mean Garman will be benched again this year. From what I heard, Mike has a pretty good chance of being the primary starter and will probably share ice time with Iles as the season goesby ajh258 - Hockey

Re: Paul Milstein Hall - 13 years ago
Honestly, it doesn't look that bad. Modern school of architecture values function and efficiency, thus the cantilever is a popular method of creating more space without setting more foundation. However, I wish the upper floor looks less rectangular. In any case, that building will be much better than the air conditioning-less Rand.by ajh258 - John Spencer Is Dead

Trotsky French RageReally, was "wait in the damn line until they sell them" that tough?I'm sure it's a headache for the university, but it was a great experience. And will the shirts read, "I spent 2 minutes online"? Ha! I would love to see this on next year's shirts. Email CHA!by ajh258 - Hockey
Re: Student Season Ticket Information - 13 years ago
Sections A (excluding band seats), E and F will now be general admission, making it easier for friends to sit together. Hmm.... that actually changes things quite a bit. If so, then I'm all for it. I show up 30 minutes early anyways.by ajh258 - Hockey
Re: Student Season Ticket Information - 13 years ago
Well, I would rather get section A tickets with my friends because there's a sense of ownership that comes with season tickets and I think that sense is integral to the loyalty of our fans. I agree that sometimes student enthusiasm dwindle in section A, but there's simply not enough spots in section B that will give all dedicated fans tickets. I sat in section D a few times and the atmosphere isby ajh258 - Hockey
Re: Student Season Ticket Information - 13 years ago
I had section A tickets last year. If this was true before, I would not get to sit in section B, which would suck. So I'm actually quite upset. Edit: Actually, I don't know what I'm more upset about - no more lines or no more section A season tickets.by ajh258 - Hockey
Re: Jerseys?- Red or White? if male, choose RED - 13 years ago
statenaurora Just wondering if the process of obtaining a jersey is the same as stated in the FAQ: "Acquiring a jersey from the Teagle issue room is actually quite a straight forward process with the proper information in hand. You need to contact William Reynolds (wlr5 at cornell.edu) via email to let him know you are interested. You then simply need to stop by the issue room during theby ajh258 - Hockey
Re: Cornell Matching Financial Aid - 13 years ago
Jim Hyla Thanks, so we do more loans and the article states we are similar to Columbia, but I still didn't understand how, if we will match "their" package, there can end up still being differences. This quote confused me:As a result of these differences, it is possible that two students with identical financial backgrounds could be paying very different tuition prices to attend Cornellby ajh258 - Hockey
Re: Cornell Matching Financial Aid - 13 years ago
Jim Hyla This probably could go in any forum, OK not tickets, but the Sun reports that the U will match aid packages of other Ivies and maybe the old Ivy Overlap Group. That's great news for recruiting. Here's the CU announcement from July 7. I don't quite understand how the difference in the way the schools figure packages works. Any help and example of how they might differ? First, the scby ajh258 - Hockey
Re: "A Bad Idea: The Hybrid Icing Rule" - 13 years ago
Well, the Sun changed from a national newspaper to a local one, plus it's now free, so there's not much to be expected. However, it shouldn't be that difficult to find someone who's competent enough to write about hockey on an intelligible level.by ajh258 - Hockey

RichH Jim Hyla dbilmes This really sucks. I don't check eLynah for a few days and I miss out on the Sucks tickets. They're only selling individual seats online now.So buy them. Re: CU's 2010-2011 Schedule - 13 years ago
IronFist UQTR is a damn good program at the CIS level. They have been dominant in the OUA and were ranked 3rd in the CIS Top 10 at the end of last season. A 66-12-4-2 regular season record over the last three years is nothing to sneeze at, even if the CIS isn't on par with NCAA Division I hockey. While Les Patriotes probably won't beat Cornell in October, they aren't a team to take lightly. Sure,by ajh258 - Hockey

Re: Riley Nash (CAR) - 13 years ago
Josh '99 ajh258 Interesting to find out who will be starting goalie next year - Garman's performance at Princeton last season was above my expectations, but he looked like Scrivens in the early years, where there was a lot of movement outside the crease. (That's what I remember, I might be wrong because I missed most of the third quarter) I wonder if Isles is up to the test, won't be surprised ifby ajh258 - Hockey

Scersk '97 Kyle RoseNow, how about that rebuilding year ahead? In all seriousness, I still expect us to be solid contenders to finish first in the regular season this next year.
