fireschafer Very unprofessional of Schafer (and awful for team morale) to call out a single player like that. Yeah, very unprofessional...except when it happens on a regular basis in "professional" hockey:by sah67 - Hockey

Re: Alumni in the Pros - January - 8 years ago
sah67 Riley Nash just scored on a deflection to put Carolina up 2-0 on Chicago in the 1st period. The game is being televised nationally on NBC Sports. Make that two goals for Nash, doubling his season total.by sah67 - Hockey

Not to mention that the spring semester doesn't even begin until 4 days after the Harvard game. I wouldn't be surprised to see some big gaps in Sections A & B during the game (not that there haven't already been big gaps in those sections for most games this year).by sah67 - Hockey

Re: SLU - 8 years ago
andyw2100 I saw the ref behind the goal kind of pointing and gesticulating wildly out toward the front of the goal, which confused me. He clearly wasn't indicating a goal, but he also didn't put his hands over his head to indicate a penalty shot. (If he did, I completely missed it, and I'm pretty sure most people at Lynah did as well, because there was no reaction typical of a penalty shot beinby sah67 - Hockey

Re: Alumni in the pros -- December 2014 - 9 years ago
It's a bit of a belated report, but Colin Greening finally scored his first goal of the season earlier in the week, although he didn't actually put it in the net. He was taken down on a breakaway towards Buffalo's empty net, and thus the goal was awarded automatically. Not the most glamorous of opportunities to cash in, but at least he's finally off the schneid.by sah67 - Hockey

Re: Cornell 2 Clarkson 1 (ot) - 9 years ago
upprdeck it was hard to get a read on the DQ.. I was surprised by this one as well: I can't recall ever seeing a game DQ being handed out for a boarding penalty, even when it's a major. I couldn't see the hit from where we were, but there didn't seem to be much of a reaction by the Clarkson players/coaching staff, so I was surprised that it was even called as a major, let alone as a game DQ.by sah67 - Hockey

Re: Halloween: Cornell 1 UNO 1 (ot) - 9 years ago
MattS Trotsky andyw2100 Omaha definitely had their chances, but the one goal they did score was kind of a flukey goal. One of our guys (I don't recall who) fanned on a shot from near the blue line resulting in a 2 on 1 the other way. Jacob MacDonald. He had an up and down game, to put it mildly. He helped set up our goal, then his whiff set up the UNO goal, and then he had a brutal turnover tby sah67 - Hockey
