Scoring on our 1st powerplay...Greening with two points in the course of about a minute and a half...not a bad way to start. Let's not give it up again like last night though.by sah67 - Hockey

SLU also wore their home whites at Colgate on Friday...I believe (according to the Colgate USCHO.com threat) Colgate was unveiling a new third color jersey, and wanted to do it at home, but it didn't seem all that different from their standard road jerseys.by sah67 - Hockey

redhair34calgARI '07Let's keep the powerplay doing the same exact things - it is working. Why don't we put Bitz on both units? How about we just send out Bitz and McCutcheon as a 2-man PP unit...they'll dominate. Maybe we could dress DiLeo as a forward and throw him in there too...then our PP will be unparalleled. Alrighty, that's about my quota for bashing my own team before I start to fby sah67 - Hockey
Incorrect score reporting at Lynah tonight - 17 years ago
Unfortunately, Arthur incorrectly reported one of the scores tonight at Lynah. For those of you at the game tonight elated to hear about Clarkson getting swept, they actually won 2-1 at 'Gate. I wonder who was feeding Arthur his info.by sah67 - Hockey

ebilmesIn the battle between the Saints and Ari's cries of "Jesus Christ," St. Lawrence won. Romano was silent. Scali, who usually makes some noise with his in-your-face kind of play, was also quiet. I'll leave the special teams issues for others to talk about, but please get McCutcheon off the PP. I actually was happy to see Scali back in the lineup, and thought he plby sah67 - Hockey

Dpperk29 if it is such an inane point, then why did you bother replying to it? I know you are but what am I? *sigh* I'm done with this nonsense...you can have the last word if you deem it necessary.by sah67 - Hockey
Re: Clarkson at Cornell postgame - 17 years ago
Didn't your mom teach you anything about sore losers? We get your point, as inane as it may be. Go worry about Colgate...I've been hearing good things about that Burton kid, and Dekanich is going to be a handful.by sah67 - Hockey
Re: Clarkson at Cornell postgame - 17 years ago
Dpperk29Al DeFlorioDpperk29I'm not going to say the better team won because I honestly think Clarkson is a better team on most nights. You've been taking lessons from RichS, pal, I regret to say. Look, your heroes managed three shots on goal in the third period and OT in a tied game against Cornell on your home ice. Tonight they improved to a whopping four. Get lost. MBAre you high? We were damn lucky to come away with a win tonight. We didn't seem on at all, our first PK unit... well, let's not talk about that. Actually, let's not talk about our power play units. We almost gave up a couple of short handed goals. There was a distinct lack of energy and puck handling. Our one saving grace was that Clarkson was even less on than we were. Let's hope ourby sah67 - Hockey
Re: Clarkson at Cornell postgame - 17 years ago
Not much to add...just a fantastic game. Carefoot and Greening were outstanding, and not just because of their goals. Excellent play from Mugford again too...that kid's gonna put one (or more) in real soon, if not tomorrow. I'd also disagree with some statements about Scrivens not really being a factor tonight. He had several good saves, and was definitely tested a bit more than against Colby sah67 - Hockey

To add to the list of reasons why Hansen should go back to ref school: One of the Clarkson goons (get names on your jerseys...I don't want to buy a program!), (maybe Kolu?) dragging Gallagher around by his facemask while the linesmen stared and did nothing.by sah67 - Hockey
Re: Injury note for Friday - 17 years ago
I have to agree with Ugarte here. As much as I'd love to see our guys showcase their talent, team-playing and raw ability in the form of big wins against tough teams, right now, I'd take any win we can get, and as many of them as possible. Even if it means unbeknownst to us, Clarkson dresses the Potsdam peewee squad on stilts, and we beat them 2-1 in OT.by sah67 - Hockey

Injury note for Friday - 17 years ago
Rumors abound on the Knights Round Table and USCHO forums that Clarkson will be without Nick Dodge this weekend due to a strained abdominal muscle. Could be good news for us, as it takes away one of their biggest offensive threats, though they certainly have no shortage of offensive firepower without him. But if the defense can play like it did last Saturday, we can hopefully focus more on our oby sah67 - Hockey

WillR As long as I am on the topic of poor etiquette and Colgate, what is the deal with Colgate’s WWF announcer at Starr not announcing Cornell’s goals? It seemed a bit childish and I think hw did the same thing last year. I was wondering if only we get this treatment or if they roll out the red carpet like that for everyone. -WillR He announced the first one, but barely above a whisper.by sah67 - Hockey

Dartmouth ties Clarkson at Cheel 4-4 SLU over Sucks 4-3 at Appleton Union over Brown in Providence 5-3 RPI over Yale in New Haven 2-1 With a win tomorrow, and a loss for Clarkson, we move into 3rd and push them up to 2nd...same goes for Dartmouth. With a win tomorrow, Clarkson will tie SLU(t) and Q for 1st if SLU loses, or tie Q for 2nd with SLU moving into 1st if they win. Interestingly.by sah67 - Hockey

jtwcornell91sah67Just got back from Hamilton...worst rink pizza ever...not that Lynah's is anything to brag about, but yeah...totally unsatisfying. Pizza tends to be more satisfying when you eat it rather than having it thrown at you. Surprisingly, the Colgate students weren't all that offensive. I also disagreed with Davenport being pulled early...I felt like the two PPGs that got past him weren't totally equated with poor goaltending on his part. On the other hand, we did seem to get a rhythm going when Scrivens was in there, and he played much better thby sah67 - Hockey

Ritasah67Speaking of which... (and apologies if this was discussed last year during the jersey incident) why don't jerseys travel with the team on the bus?
