Trotsky dbilmes Besides the fact that Yale's 5 SOG were the fewest by a team in a D-1 game in 20 years, things got nasty toward the end of the Yale-Q game. Two Yale players, including Allain's son, received game misconducts (for kneeing and cross-checking), and Allain was given a 10-minute major for "abuse of officials."Please have punched out Rand. Pleeeeeeeeeeease. They should give aby sah67 - Hockey

Schafer should conduct a master class on effective use of the coach’s challenge.by sah67 - Hockey

chimpfood Barron with a goal and an assist so far tonight, nice to see as he hadn’t had any points in a while before now. Pretty goal too.by sah67 - Hockey
Re: #13 Cornell at Brown, Feb 24 - 1 year ago
Iceberg That was a heck of a move by Wallace. In general the forwards are having a field day with whatever defensive scheme Brown is running, aside from just being quicker overall Mack, I believe. It was definitely a slick dangle.by sah67 - Hockey
Re: #13 Cornell at Brown, Feb 24 - 1 year ago
Even the Brown announcers were shocked that cross-check to Andreev’s face (with the puck also long gone) went unpenalized.by sah67 - Hockey

Trotsky sah67 Iceberg Was Whittet challenging the offside? Seemingly bizarre decision I think it was the very obviously clean hit by the benches as the power play expired. Still a very bizarre use/waste of a challenge. It was high up on the body and near the boards and the puck was gone. I can see giving it a shot. As it turns out, we gave them a pp 10 seconds later,. I saw shoulder-to-chestby sah67 - Hockey

marty redice Does anyone have a list (names) of the 1973 & 2003 players who returned this weekend? God help me for expecting that they would be introduced, individually, by name... SMH! Yes, but Arthur quite obviously introduced the Saturday crew from '03 The ESPN video didn't pick up anything but a muffle of his voice. I assume the few that were there from the1973 team were introducby sah67 - Hockey

shafer Scersk '97 ... Give me a big brick any day. Like that Scrivens kid. For me Scrivens is the best Cornell goalie in the past 20 years. He certainly knew how to have some fun in goal too.by sah67 - Hockey
Re: Clarkson vs. Cornell 2/17/23 - 1 year ago
upprdeck They do have overhead cameras.. And as we discussed last week where they showed replays that hurt Cornell tonight we didnt see the replays from the over head views. Maybe it stayed out refs didnt want to go look at a key play in the game, but they wanted to review the .3 on the clock Schafer didn't even seem that upset/adamant about them reviewing that one, although Andreev was exby sah67 - Hockey
Re: AIC @ Cornell 12/29 12/30 - 1 year ago
Did anyone catch what had Schafer so livid shortly after the the 2nd DeSantis goal? He was a lot more animated and screaming a lot more aggressively than typical Schafer, to the point of grabbing someone’s stick and bashing against the boards until it broke. We just couldn’t figure out who/what it was directed at. It looked like he was possibly yelling at Mack on the bench soon after he brokeby sah67 - Hockey

scoop85 I can’t recall Schafer so publicly berating officials after a game. He’ll surely be suspended by the ECAC. Or maybe he’ll receive an official “letter of reprimand” like RPI’s coach:by sah67 - Hockey

dag14 Jake MacDonald called up by the Avs. An unfortunate turn of events for MacDonald, as he ended up getting stretchered off the ice after a brutal hit from Florida's Ryan Lomberg: Best wishes to Jake for a speedy recovery.by sah67 - Hockey

Re: 2020-02-29: Cornell 5 Clarkson 1 - 4 years ago
upprdeck So was the Stienburg the one who got clotheslined on that last sequence? that was pretty blatant and deserves a suspension. Yes. He had laid a big hit on Schneider just prior, and when Schneider got up, we saw him make a beeline for Stienburg like a raging bull. He initially tried taking a high-speed, blindside run at Stienburg’s head as he was carrying the puck through the neutby sah67 - Hockey

Bardreau placed on waivers by the Islanders today (2/17), probably in anticipation of sending him back down to Bridgeport, unless someone claims him first.by sah67 - Hockey

upprdeck and cornell does nothing, not even a delay.. we have 6 inches in the last 2 hrs here north of ithaca. IC shut down last night Classes are cancelled as of 10AM. The University remains open while the operating status is "under review."by sah67 - Hockey

Swampy Trotsky sah67 scoop85 ...and has been solid when he's filled in for Schafer on the bench. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Ben is undefeated when filling in for Schafer.Correct. Is this just for this year or forever? Since he was hired, I believe.by sah67 - Hockey

Re: 2020-01-24: Cornell vs Dartmouth - 4 years ago
That could have easily been 5-2 or 6-2, even without the multiple whiffs on the empty net. The Dartmouth goalie made some remarkable saves.by sah67 - Hockey

Riley Nash had an unassisted beauty for his 4th goal of the year last night in Columbus's win against Boston:by sah67 - Hockey
Re: Goal: Bardreau - 4 years ago
Riley Nash scored his second of the year last night from a very sharp angle against the Caps: It's also pretty weird to hear them refer to Riley as "a veteran."by sah67 - Hockey
