Why you (as a fan) should behave at a hockey game - 21 years ago
In yesterday's RPI-Union game, the stupidity of Union's fans (throwing oranges on the ice during the game) allowed an RPI goal, and cost Union a win. Here is an article from the Albany, NY Times Union:by jnachod - Hockey
Re: Ithaca to Union - 21 years ago
Since I live in the Albany area and take this road quite often to get to Corrnell, I thought I'd let you know a few things. The I-88 route is the best way to go. There is no toll on the thruway from exit 25A to exit 25 - the eastern end of 890 (the five or so miles you'll be on it), but there is if you go from 25A to 26 (the western end of 890). To get to Union college I'd just take I-90 eastby jnachod - Hockey

Re: Radio feed - 21 years ago
the other thing that's pathetic is their selection of commercials. I've heard the one about sleep apnea at least 10 times now. The station must be struggling to find people that want to advertise on it.by jnachod - Hockey
Re: Cornell at SLU, Saturday. - 21 years ago
it sounds like Cornell has a big shots on goal advantage for the 2nd period - like 10 or 11 to 1by jnachod - Hockey

I thought I heard Vesce mentioned in the background when they were saying who got the assists. We'll have to see the box score.by jnachod - Hockey
Predict Final Score of Today's Game - 21 years ago
I thought it would be interesting to see what you guys think today's game's final score will be. There is a pattern going (wins the past three games of 4-1, 5-1, 6-1) so a 7-1 win would be cool.by jnachod - Hockey
Cornell now doing banner ads! - 21 years ago
Today in one of the popup windows that appeared on my computer while I was online, I noticed there was a banner ad for E-Cornell before I closed the window. The site it was on was . I never thought I'd see the day when Cornell advertised on the Internet like this.by jnachod - Hockey

Re: DaRTmouTH sUcKs - 21 years ago
Yes, Yes Dartmouth hockey sucks. I think the big problem with this game was the blind, deaf wannabe refs. This is really aggravating. We need to figure out exactly how Dartmouth's play differs from other teams' play so we can make adjustments that will allow us to beat this stinkin D-mouth team next time.by jnachod - Hockey
OT: Money and Sports - 21 years ago
It looks like it's not just Cornell that's trying to make a quick buck off of sports (with the Internet broadcasts). CNNSI.com is reporting today that HIGH SCHOOL basketball games in Ohio are going to be broadcast on cable tv Pay-per-view because of star Lebron James. I don't care how good he is, this is just mortifying:by jnachod - Hockey
Re: Harvard(sucks) @ Lynah - 21 years ago
How about: if Harvard feels that they shouldn't have to play at Lynah, they can forfeit the game. Yeah, we have an advantage over them but it's definitely not an unfair one. Forfeiting ought to make them look really good in their media.by jnachod - Hockey

Re: sun article - 21 years ago
Hillarious. I'd love to see them try to JA hundreds of students. I'm glad they mentioned this: Sneaking into games. Seats are limited and not everyone will have tickets to see the action. Perhaps they need to go a little more with this. They also need to more vigilantly kick people out who decide that their section isn't good enough for them and sneak into lower-lettered sections than theby jnachod - Hockey
Re: Links to free audio broadcasts by Cornell's opponents - 21 years ago
It's not any particular small little charge that bothers me. It's this approach that Cornell seems to be using increasingly of trying to take your money in little bits incrementally that really add up. Having you pay $7 a month for Cornell hockey (and other sports) online is not a big deal in itself, but when you factor in all the other incidental charges you incur, they together become a signiby jnachod - Hockey
Re: Links to free audio broadcasts by Cornell's opponents - 21 years ago
I agree with you. It really is ridiculous how much Cornell feels it needs to nickel and dime you. 10 cents for net print when i bet it costs less than that to run it. 45 bucks a month for resnet that's 1/10 as fast as when it cost 45 bucks per 2 1/2 months. They have the audacity to charge (sometimes) $4.00 for a six-pack of soda at the J's Express convenience store on West Campus. I won't tby jnachod - Hockey
