Re: Some new Schafer comments (USCHO weekly column) - 17 years ago
calgARI '07They have may have scored a powerplay goal against Clarkson, but the powerplay still sucked. It blew several chances including a couple in the third period that could have gotten Cornell that game. The powerplay at the end of regulation failed to even get set up. I really hope Schafer makes some changes both to the personnel and the system of the unit and I don't mean putting Mcby imafrshmn - Hockey

About the higher glass...it's true, the glass is all the same height that the end glass was before.by imafrshmn - Hockey

Re: All-access failure for Sacred Heart - 17 years ago
ebilmesimafrshmnVideo up.... McLeod and Fontas in the lineup tonight...Glover, McCutechon, Salmela, and Carefoot are out for mostly non-serious reasons. Can you elaborate on these reasons? McCutcheon and Glover got "dinged up" in Florida, Carefoot is at his brother's wedding in Canada, and Salmela is a healthy scratch.by imafrshmn - Hockey

Oh...and the old uniforms are back on (phew!)by imafrshmn - Hockey

Re: Higher Glass in Lynah - 17 years ago
miniteam8sWe heard from an older couple during the Red & White scrimmage that their seats cost 50% more than regular seats. The view was pretty bad for them. The seats are too far back from the glass for the older people (with canes) to sit in and see the ice / action below. I haven't seen them in their original seats so maybe they moved. That leaves the area open for the "vocalists&by imafrshmn - Hockey
Re: Higher Glass in Lynah - 17 years ago
You know, it seems like it was just recently that I realized how many other rinks had the higher glass walls and took a moment to appreciate the fact that ours was still medium height. If the changes are as reported, I am not happy about it. Just one more barrier between the fans and the players we love. The new glass would probably be to the NHL regulation height of 8 feet above the boards.by imafrshmn - Hockey
Re: Crowd - 17 years ago
If the band was in G or H, they would perhaps be heard throughout the rink. But as they are the ones who do a lot of the taunting, expecially before a game, I would hate to see them leave A.by imafrshmn - Hockey
Re: Cornell 3 RPI 3 Post-game Thread - 17 years ago
According to gametracker, scrivens only had to make 4 saves in about 32 minutes of play. That's crazy.by imafrshmn - Hockey
Re: Cornell 3 RPI 3 Post-game Thread - 17 years ago
A lot of positives to take out of this game, except the fact that we didn't win. Let's hope we can get our asses in gear for all 3 periods tomorrow.by imafrshmn - Hockey
Re: Separate ushers-vs.-fans game thread? - 17 years ago
Jacob 03DafatoneIf things stay like this, Lynah will eventually stop being Lynah. Many of our recruits list Lynah's atmosphere as a major factor in their decision to come to Cornell. If we lose that, we're just an Ivy League school in the middle of upstate NY. Education aside, we don't have much else to draw in recruits. The more I think about it, the more I think this could actually be a pby imafrshmn - Hockey
Re: We want more..... - 17 years ago
KillerMaybe we should change IAYF to, "It's Andy's fault! It's Andy's fault! ..." It would really REALLY make me happy to join in an anti-athletics administration chant of some type, but I don't know who has the balls to start it. I wonder if starting a chant like that would get you kicked out. In any case, I am not ballsy enough to risk being martyr for the lynah faithful.by imafrshmn - Hockey
