Re: "Silence in Section A" - 17 years ago
He has a point, though. I'm also in A and the ushers are constantly there. They actually singled me out during the Dartmouth game. I was saying "rough 'em" up and the lady pointed at me, came up to me, and said "You should not be cursing. We've been getting a lot of complaints about this section." I denied any wrongdoing and looked her right in the eyes, and she backedby RazzBaronZ - Hockey

Jordan 04 Or, if said 23-year-old graduate works for a company with a corporate rental agreement or code, renting under that code may eliminate the age restriction. If you do a quick google search for rental codes, you'll find a gajillion that will save you a lot of money. Sometimes they check that you're actually affiliated with the company, but it hasn't happened to any f my friends so far.by RazzBaronZ - Hockey

redhair34RazzBaronZI didn't realize it before but I really like seeing our goals in red in the OP. It looks cooler. I can't take the credit. Thank Trotsky. Thanks, Trotsky.by RazzBaronZ - Hockey

TrotskyGotta give this crew credit, they did their homework and know the CU lineup cold. Except they keep calling one of our players Greenling,by RazzBaronZ - Hockey

TrotskySomebody give the PU announcers a tranq. They're fun, but EVERYTHING sounds like a crossbar. 2-zip, end 1. Yeah, this is the first away game I'm in Ithaca for, and I turned off 870 to listen to PU people. It's a lot more fun this way.by RazzBaronZ - Hockey

So the link that says salsashark.net link on the bottom of every page: If you click on design, and try to click on the eLynah logo, it takes you to a nonexistent page. Probably not good, right?by RazzBaronZ - Hockey

Re: Cornell 0 - Dartmouth 2 (3rd period) 11/11/06 - 17 years ago
It sounded like a speaker got blown out. At some point during the SUCKS game, they turned that one speaker off but I could barely make out anything the announcer was saying in A. They turned it back on, and it was easier to understand the announcer. Still, it clicks every half a second and is very annoying. Those speakers must be really expensive and hard to get to, but I expect it to get fby RazzBaronZ - Hockey
Re: As Expected, "Zero Tolerance" For Friday Night - 17 years ago
I, for one, thought that it was less fun because of the lack of fish. I came to that game to see the team play, but also expecting some tradition. I would have liked to see more fish. Not that the game wasn't great. I just think it would've been better.by RazzBaronZ - Hockey
Re: Lay off Andy Noel? - 17 years ago
I don't think Andy Noel doesn't work hard at the things he does, though some people might disagree. Still, I don't think there is a problem with pointing out the things that need to be improved. I gather from this message board that Noel was responsible for the ticket procedures of years past which many disliked, and the fish-throwing policies, the ban on forms of cheering. Apparently, he shby RazzBaronZ - Other Sports

Re: Dartmouth @ Cornell -Post Game Comments 11/11/06 - 17 years ago
I thought we were very lazy tonight. Many times, I saw a puck I expected our guys to be able to get to, and they never did. Either Dartmouth is ridiculously fast, or we just didn't want it. Our power plays were extremely frustrating, with little movement and lots of slapshots from far out. The game would have been ridiculous had we at least tied it, but we definitely did not deserve to wiby RazzBaronZ - Hockey
Re: Faithful T-shirt - 17 years ago
I could make you a Got Lynah? shirt if you'd like. I just had someone PM me about making one, so if I find all the supplies and get that going I can make you one. Search the forums for a thread about the shirts. There should be pics of it in the thread.by RazzBaronZ - Hockey
Re: Harvard 2 @ Cornell 3 postgame thread (11/10/06) - 17 years ago
Just came back from the game... Before the game, somebody passed around quarter cards that said if you're on the aisles, hold your newspapers up when people toss their fish. It even had a drawing or something of people doing it. It was smart, but nobody did it. On to the fish: I was a bit disappointed by the lack of fish, and saw a sardine can and Swedish fish candies go over, which didn'tby RazzBaronZ - Hockey

Someone should throw a stuffed animal onto the ice mid-game to prove a point and get a team penalized for it. Of course, that person should be wearing a SUCKS shirt...by RazzBaronZ - Hockey

Re: Macho lady busted - 17 years ago
She's a woman in section N (at least this year) who dances hilariously to Macho Man every time the band plays it. She also wore the bikini T-shirt every once in a while last year, if anyone remembers (I guess similar to the "tuxedo t-shirt" most of us can picture. To me, she's like the Zambo Man: another part of the Lynah atmosphere. Every time my friends and I hear Macho Man beingby RazzBaronZ - Hockey
Re: Cornell 4 Robert Morris 1 - 17 years ago
Hey BMac I think you sit right behind me in A... I can understand profanity being a problem, but I should be able to tell a specific player how much I think he sucks in a dignified manner of my choosing. They back off about ushering partway into every season from my experience, so don't expect this sort of craziness to continue. Maybe they're just trying to get us all nice for the televiseby RazzBaronZ - Hockey
Re: Cornell 4 Robert Morris 1 - 17 years ago
So I'd say that I like the team so far. I thought less of last year's team this early on. I thought Davenport played very well, and the student section even cheered his name at the end of the game. He saluted us, too, to the delight of the fans. The freshmen that stood out: Romano was fantastic to watch handling the puck, and Greening looked awesome as well. They're all gonna be a fun buncby RazzBaronZ - Hockey
Re: Cornell 11 York 1 - 17 years ago
I just looked up York and they lost to the Montreal Canadiens' Rookie team 15-1 about a month ago. I feel bad for them. Still, it was fun to be able to chant double digits, and the passing looked crisp out there. So far, so good.by RazzBaronZ - Hockey
Re: New Forum Design - 17 years ago
It feels weird and not red enough. Can we get a choice of color schemes, including the old one (which I like more)? I know they do that on other forums. EDIT: the design itself is a million times better. It's the color scheme that gets me.by RazzBaronZ - Hockey

Re: Reminder - Hockey Ticket Preregistration - 17 years ago
Thanks a lot for posting the line numbers and times. It makes us OCD hockey fans feel better. So, question: A bunch of my friends got early numbers, but some couldn't make it that day. Is our best shot for getting seats together to get numbers towards the end? I figure if one of the last numbers is chosen, it will wrap back around to us. -Alex Barash '07by RazzBaronZ - Hockey
