Well, since this thread is drifting all over the place anyway... With respect to the Waffle House in Clarks Summit...I was really surprised to find that chain as far north as Clarks Summit. Can anyone confirm that the Clarks Summit location is, in fact, the northernmost Waffle House? (I actually asked one of the people working there the one time I ate there, and was told it was, but I don't puby andyw2100 - Hockey

Jim Hylajimmy It would have given us a 3 point lead with three games to play, and secured us first place at the close of the weekend regardless of tomorrow night's results.Explain this please. We might have secured home ice and a bye, but first place? Maybe some fans do understand. I'm pretty sure he meant that at the end of this weekend we would still be in first place, had Colgate lost tonigby andyw2100 - Hockey

WillRGood effort. That usher was an utter ass. I am not quite sure what his purpose was other than to look sullen and try to throw one of us out and stay off the dole. -WillR I'm the guy he tried to throw out. Well, at least I am one of them. After the sign incident, one of the guys in front of me called the girlfriend of the effeminate schmuck in the first row in the section next to us aby andyw2100 - Hockey
Re: Colgate Freshman Fun - 18 years ago
Redhair34-- It sounds like we were sitting pretty close to each other. Were you one of the people in the front row (A), who brought the sign that was later stolen and destroyed? If so, I was in the row behind you. I was the guy who tried to force the usher to go after the sign. That usher was a real piece of work. Andy W.by andyw2100 - Hockey

Re: Cornell @ Colgate Postgame 2/4 - 18 years ago
I just watched the replay frame by frame. In the very first frame, after the broadcast logo, you can see open ice between the stick and Dekanich's skate. Dekanich sees Sawada coming for the stick, and either skates onto it or across it. (Can't tell from the replay.) But he was not trying to get into position to defend the goal...he was way to one side of the goal mouth, and the puck was at the otby andyw2100 - Hockey

CowbellGuyvBulletin, in my not so humble opinion, is a giant oozing turd that has left its mark and stench in damn near every corner of this distaster we call the world wide web. It's a bloated, crappy product, and for the privilege of propagating this crap, you get to pay for it, to boot. The software ELF runs on in open source, considerably faster, and far more customizable that vB will ever beby andyw2100 - Hockey
Re: when to stand up at beginning of period - 18 years ago
Unless I am mistaken, the game start times went from 8:00 PM to 7:30 PM, and finally to 7:00 PM all within the years that I have been attending games. So the first change would have happened some time after the 1982-83 season. Also, I seem to recall a brief period when the Friday night game was starting at 7:30, and the Saturday night game at 7:00. Can anyone confirm any of this, and possiblyby andyw2100 - Hockey
Re: Starr: Cornell 0 Colgate 0 (pregame) - 18 years ago
DeltaOne81Here's a question for people at the game... did you have any idea what was going on? Other than those of you who may've been asked for jerseys personally . Or was it just some unspecified delay? I was at the game, and Matt Moulson's dad came and asked my fiancee and me to borrow our (non-game worn) jerseys, but said they just needed them for the warm-up. It was the only shirt I had onby andyw2100 - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Colgate Postgame 2/4 - 18 years ago
Hmmmm...you think maybe our guys skating around for the warm-up without their jerseys might have given someone over on the Colgate side a clue that there could be something just a little off? I was actually shocked when Colgate came out, before the refs had taken the ice. (I didn't think they were allowed to do that.) I guess after a few minutes, when they didn't see the refs, or an opposing teamby andyw2100 - Hockey
