Re: 2020 ECAC Prelim Round - 3 years ago
Union appeared to have netted the game-winner, but it was immediately waved off (presumably for goaltender interference), and after a long review the call on the ice was upheld. Shortly after play restarted Yale scored while the Union goaltender once again did not have his stick. So Yale advances.by andyw2100 - Hockey

andyw2100 Union at Yale, tied at 1, about to start OT in the third and decisive game. Will be going to a second OT in New Haven. Yale controlled the puck in the Union end for close to two minutes while the Union goalie didn't have his stick for much of that time, and made several saves. I was surprised that none of the Union players gave the goalie their stick. Is that not a thing these daysby andyw2100 - Hockey

French Rage andyw2100 Trotsky Dartmouth scores with 2.3 seconds to go. 4-4. The icing Princeton took that led to that goal was just stupid. The Princeton player chose to take a ridiculous shot at the empty net over doing something smarter with the puck that would have allowed his team to advance. Just really dumb play. But thank god Harvard did that in 2003! Yeah, I was thinking about thatby andyw2100 - Hockey

Re: Corona Virus And Playoff Games - 3 years ago
Cop at Lynah The CCC just put out a release that says the Rap concert will go on as planned in Barton Hall on March 22nd. Concerts bring a large contingent of out of town folks to campus, so how serious is the administration ? I can't see them not allowing fans in Lynah and at the same time allow 4,000 people to a concert in Barton. That is great news! Thanks for sharing!by andyw2100 - Hockey

Corona Virus And Playoff Games - 3 years ago
Am I the only one worried that Cornell or the ECAC could make the decision to play games without fans present in an attempt to prevent the spread of the Corona virus? The decision was just made to not have spectators at the NCAA Division III basketball tournament at Johns Hopkins: And last night I received an email message from Cornell Vice President Ryan Lombardi that said: "by andyw2100 - Hockey

marty I politely asked for a refund and pointed out that: 1) I had thought I canceled the service immediately. 2) If I didn't in fact cancel this was due to the many steps on the web confusing me. 3) I never signed on after I watched those two games (not even to record the cheerleaders for posterity). They immediately agreed to post a credit which I did receive. Thanks, Marty. I trby andyw2100 - Hockey

andyw2100 I also just purchased a month of Flo access. I then immediately looked for a way to prevent the next monthly charge. The way to accomplish this is to cancel your subscription. On the last screen before cancellation it warns that you will lose access after February 3, which is fine. (I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't lose access immediately.) There's no reason not to cancel immediby andyw2100 - Hockey

Give My Regards Don't know if this has been pointed out elsewhere, but in addition to being Cornell's first-ever four-time All-Ivy first-team selection, Yanni has played in every game of his Cornell career -- 133 so far. I also don't know if it was mentioned anywhere esle on eLynah or not, but it was part of the information about him that Arthur read during the senior night ceremony.by andyw2100 - Hockey
Re: 2019-2020 a historical season - 3 years ago
Cop at Lynah I know that both the men and the women were highly regarded in the preseason polls, but what I've witnessed has been a historical season of hockey on the hill. The men & women overall are combined 50-3-7 in the regular season, 37-2-5 in ECAC play and 18-1-1 in Ivy League play. Also, both teams combined to go unbeaten at Lynah Rink in 2019-2020 in regular season games. Fixed yby andyw2100 - Hockey
Re: Polls 2019-20 - 3 years ago
I don't remember seeing the following discussed here before, though I expect it has been. What is the general consensus with respect to what we think about whether or not the poll voters take scores into account when casting their votes? I'm guessing the voters will factor into their thinking that Cornell beat a highly ranked Clarkson team this week, and that that may be enough to push us to nby andyw2100 - Hockey
Re: 2020-02-21: Cornell 4 Yale 0 - 3 years ago
According to an email from Schafer, it was Bauld who first suggested Yale was offside on the reviewed no-goal: "Senior forward Noah Bauld was the first guy to say Yale had gone offsides. We checked with the guys upstairs, and Yale was clearly offsides. It was a good call by those guys looking at it, and it was a turning point, as we came right back and upped the score to 3-0 at 13:11 of tby andyw2100 - Hockey
