I can see references to it at store.cornell.edu, but I don't think I see anything like the hats pictured above in this thread. The bear leaning on the C is my favorite of the two. I think UCLA used to use that logo as well -- don't know which one predated the other -- before moving to a scripted logo. To me, the problem with the new logo's look is that the arms and paws of the bear look amateurish. I think the bear's head and face look pretty cool. Maybe if they got rid of the arms & paws, filled in the blocked Cby ithacat - Hockey

The Zephyr hats are fitted and will run in sizes from 6-5/8 to 8. It looks like they'll sell for $15.95. The store also received a new Cornell hockey hat from Gear. It's adjustable, Red with "Cornell Hockey" (in white) across the front & on top of crossed sticks (white) all outlined in black. On the left side is the bear (brown) leaning on a "C" (Red) all outlined in whby ithacat - Hockey

Re: Lynah remodel - keeping up with the Joneses - 19 years ago
Are you saying semis would need the parking lot during construction or that the parking lot would become a road? Isn't the space between the existing Biotech Bldg & Lynah (on the NW) rather narrow?by ithacat - Hockey

October in Michigan is one thing, but Boston in December? That could be one nasty game. Too bad they don't want Cornell involved.by ithacat - Hockey

Jim Hyla Wrote: Well, the lastest renovation proposal that I've heard is to expand on the south side of the rink for new locker rooms, etc.. They would also redo the benches moving ours to the south side with the penalty box and keeping the opposition across the rink. They could add some seats, or stands if they are for students, at the top of those sections. No wrap arround on the west side.by ithacat - Hockey

"Ballroom Bitz" That's clever, but tough to have the crowd sign along with that one. For me, it'll be tough to beat "hey, hey, Bâby..." Maybe, it could be "hey, hey, Bitzy..."by ithacat - Hockey

Morin is listed as being 5'11" & 186. He's 16 (doesn't turn 17 until mid-April) and from Auburn, NY. Sounds like he'd be a great addition to the Big Red. Can't get the link to work...by ithacat - Hockey

There's always basketball & football. I'd love to see a strong UConn hockey program, and I'd love to see Syracuse start one -- that could be a nice rivalry on the ice. Also OT, it looks like UConn might keep Edsall. It looks like Syracuse is looking elsewhere, though I can't imagine he wouldn't be one of their 4 or 5 top choices -- former player and coach at 'Cuse, and his wife is from Rocby ithacat - Hockey

Tough Day for the Locals - 19 years ago
Cornell falls to BC and is now 0-3-2 on the road. Ithaca High loses their own tournament, and has lost three in a row (each by one goal). Lenny gives up 6 as Utah gets blanked by Manchester (Dustin Brown had a goal and an assist & I still get a tingle when I imagine him as a Sophmore for the Big Red...sigh).
