Re: SLU to stay a TUC? (even counting post season?) - 19 years ago
DeltaOne81: I think SLUt need to win in the first round to stay a TUC. If they improved with their loss to Sucks, even losing to us and 'Gate should do the same. If they beat Princeton or RPI in round 1, their RPI can't drop, and then they'll play us, 'Gate or Sucks again, which should help their RPI again. They also have a quality road win which helps their RPI. However, if they lose inby Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: 1979 Providence and John Olds - 19 years ago
I don't remember Oldsie turning the crowd around. What I do remember is Mark Whitehead throwing a monster check into "Big Jim" Korn at the corner boards. For you youngsters, think Topher Scott checking Noah Welch or Matt Nickerson. Regarding Olds and his enforcer role, his nickname in the press was "The Toronto Terror" although he wasn't just an enforcer. He was a decentby Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

Re: Cornell 5 @ Princeton 0 postgame post-mortem - 19 years ago
Just getting a chance to comment on Friday's game (after an 18 hour flight to Seoul). I was really impressed with the backchecking Friday. I know Princeton's not the speediest team, but it seemed like every time they were heading for a rush down the wing, we got one or even two guys back. And there was one time in the middle of the third, where Princeton brought the puck out, and we were jusby Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
