i was partial to the suggestion of, “ted-dy-ro-gaine clapclap-clapclapclap …†a bit more creative and little less harsh then bald-bald-bald-bald-bald-bald! although they both definitely convey the same pointby ben03 - Hockey
Re: Two Cornell dual meets on CSTV - 18 years ago
a few years back when i was playing lacrosse, the rules used to read something to the tune of ... "students athletes are eligible for a total of 10 semesters, 8 of which they may compete. if all 8 semesters are not used as an undergrad, at most 2 semester may be used in graduate school directly following graduation as an undergraduate. i haven't heard anything to think this policy has changeby ben03 - Hockey
Re: [OT] a whiney Tulane student rant - 18 years ago
While I’m sure these students love their school, they have an interesting way of showing it by slighting the institutions that reached out and provided them a refuge. As much as these accounts run counter to my experience on the hill, I can only think one thing, “to each his own.†It does not surprise me to hear their recounts of dissatisfaction; after all they did not chose to come to ithaby ben03 - Hockey

Re: Farrell Leaves Union - 18 years ago
Without starting a new thread and having lost to Union, I think this news fits in best here. The defensive corps for the Union continues to shrink. Freshman Rory Farrell became the latest defenseman to leave the Dutchmen. He informed coach Nate Leaman of his decision to depart following last Saturday’s game against Rochester Institute of Technologyby ben03 - Hockey

Re: 1st Half: ECAC(HL) Team Size - 18 years ago
so after taking a look at the size of the league teams for this season, i thought it might be interesting to see what (if any) actual trend has been happening since the 1999-2000 season (oldest archived data). has the league gotten bigger and bigger? yes. does bigger win titles? you decide. Re: 1st Half: ECAC(HL) Team Size - 18 years ago
has it occurred to anyone else that we might be seeing a shift in Coach's style of play/player size? i know it’s been mentioned here before but it seems that more and more teams in the league have started to play "big" and recruit to match our size. does anyone buy the "getting smaller and faster pitch?" Re: Pokulok invited to WJC tryout - 18 years ago
who knows, this could be good in a few ways: (1) he wakes up, plays well as we know he can and makes the team, or (2) plays as he has been, embarrasses himself in front of his countrymen. which in turn lights a fire under his ass, sparking himself back into previous form. of course, there are a plethora of unknowns in play here … but here's hoping the end result is the same.by ben03 - Hockey

Canceling CSTV All-Access Monthly Subscriptions - 18 years ago
So with only two home games over the next month and four total, I decided to cancel my subscription to All-Access. As expected, the rebilling on the monthly pass will happen before the end of your 30-day period (this should not be a surprise). My pass was renewed roughly 48 hours before the end of 30 days. When I called to cancel they said they had already billed me and therefore had to issue a rby ben03 - Hockey
Re: Who will come out when Carefoot comes back? - 18 years ago
Who sits should Carefoot come back? I think it’d be interesting to see McCutcheon on the top line. Possibly with paired with Chris Abbott and Matty M. Despite sub-par production from Chris and Pegs, they are our best draw men so they have to stay. Topher has been a solid workhorse and should also stay in. His contributions are not limited to the box score (a la J. Downs). I think maybe puttby ben03 - Hockey

So tonight was the first time I’ve seen this years edition of the Red in person and I have to say overall it was fairly encouraging but still a semi-mixed bag. Game thoughts: (1) General Impressions: The freshman/sophomores seemed to have the fire we’ve been lacking all season. Good for them! The upper classmen are performing below par and look semi-content with this. (2) Power Pby ben03 - Hockey
