Re: 1967 All Tournament Teams - 22 years ago
I'm pretty sure Rich is right on all counts. There's a picture of the all-tournament team in Bob Kane's book "Good Sports." BTW, Quinn doesn't look very happy about it.by Al DeFlorio - Hockey
Re: goalies - 22 years ago
Harvard won a national championship alternating goalies right through the Final Four.by Al DeFlorio - Hockey
Re: 2/4/02 Polls - 22 years ago
The top seven teams will be very difficult to displace. Seven teams received first place votes (but not the good guys).by Al DeFlorio - Hockey
Re: HARVARD SUCKS! - 22 years ago
The sucking continues in the Beanpot. Northeastern up 5-2 late in the game. Grumet-Morris flubbed NU's first two goals, and it went downhill from there.by Al DeFlorio - Hockey
Re: 2/4/02 Polls - 22 years ago
Apple, we were 6-0 when that first place vote was cast (I thought by Hofher himself), and then went on to lose four straight (all Ivy games, I think) after that. Is the USA Today poll voted by coaches? Maybe Mazzoleni picked us!by Al DeFlorio - Hockey
Crimson writers - 22 years ago
I thought Volonnino wrote a good column last year. And I think Jon Morosi, who covers hockey for The Crimson now, does a pretty good job, too.by Al DeFlorio - Hockey

Like Joe N., he's also played box lacrosse. Should mean good stick skills.by Al DeFlorio - Hockey

They'll go "head-to-head" Saturday night.by Al DeFlorio - Hockey
Re: Krzysztof Wieckowski - 22 years ago
Grady said that Wieckowski pointed to Downs immediately after the goal as a way of saying the goal belonged to him (Downs).by Al DeFlorio - Hockey
Re: Beanpot - 22 years ago
I'll be rooting for Harvard, too, but very quietly--my wife's a Northeastern grad. Both games on FSNE tomorrow at five.by Al DeFlorio - Hockey
Re: goals?? - 22 years ago
Even the Chief would be dazzled by 199 goals in 21 games!! I think those might be points, not goals. But the increase is still mighty impressive--and welcome.by Al DeFlorio - Hockey
Re: What has to happen for Cornell to end up in Ann Arbor as opposed to Worcester? - 22 years ago
Step 1, of course, is they have to get an invitation. I wouldn't start countin' that chicken just yet.by Al DeFlorio - Hockey
Re: not hockey. . . - 22 years ago
Let me know, Ben, when you see a Yale-Harvard hockey game.by Al DeFlorio - Hockey
Re: Mazzoleni on Harvard's rivals - 22 years ago
And the Harvard hockey game at Yale is now played in New Haven's Veterans Coliseum to handle the crowd. Something like 60,000 people were in the Bowl for this year's Y-H football game (probably more than were at all Cornell's games combined). It IS a big rivalry.by Al DeFlorio - Hockey
Definition of "win the ECACs" - 22 years ago
Greg, I agree wholeheartedly--assuming you mean winning in Lake Placid.by Al DeFlorio - Hockey
