i think that with the 2 goals scored in the brown game, we've already surpassed our goal total from last season by 1 (199-198) with last season's goal total coming in 12 more games
also, with downs' first goal at brown, we've spread the goal scoring among 19 players, matching the same stat of last year.
gotta love the newfound offense, but where has the powerplay gone? in the past 4 games, we've gone 1/18 (5.55%) whereas before it seemed we were hovering around the 30% mark.

Well, I didn't see the Clarkson/SLU games, but I hear their PKs were pretty good. The PP looked pretty good against Harvard, but just plain awful against Brown. These runs aren't uncommon, and as long as Cornell maintains spacing along the points and moves the puck (the two things that were noticeably absent on Saturday night - I'm not sure if it was because of good pressure by the Brown forwards, the choppy ice, or something else entirely) they'll start scoring on the PP again.
Bright spot - the second unit looked as good as, or maybe better than, the first unit for the first time all season. They were moving the puck pretty well, and hopefully they'll start scoring to give us two really threatening PP lines.
Was it just me, or did the PK look fantastic all weekend?

Not just you. Also, I noticed Murray was the major focus of the PK's attention, leaving Bâby open a lot, but they rarely got him the puck. Still got a lot of good chances. Goals will come.

Even the Chief would be dazzled by 199 goals in 21 games!!
I think those might be points, not goals.
But the increase is still mighty impressive--and welcome.

Cornell has 72 goals in 21 games. Last season they had 73 goals in 33 games.

I noticed that the PK was on fire this week-end too. I have come to the conclusion that the first PP line is losing productivity b/c everyone has their number. Bâby was open a lot but (as was mentioned) Dougie gets most of the shots on the PP. That is exactly what the other team is expecting, so we're not converting. The second PP line is looking much better. Hopefully they'll be able to make some waves in coming games as few teams will be concentrating on this second line.
