Re: 2005-06 Commissioners' Cup - 18 years ago
Hate to umbrella on everyones parade but I happen to be damn proud of our conference. Way to go men! So it isn't the NCAA championship. But it does add a little bit of spice to the regular season. It's kind of like those impromptu sprints for prizes that they have right in the middle of a long bicycle race (I never could figure those out). I now return you to your regularly scheduled cyniciby Roy 82 - Hockey

At least a couple of alums have had steallar rookie seasons. In fact, this new article lists the top ten alltime best rookie seasons. Two are by Cornell alums (a pretty easy guess which two). Not a bad percentage.by Roy 82 - Hockey

Re: Cornell - Colgate Viewing Parties - 18 years ago
Dianne and FrenchRage, It sounds like we have hit critical mass for the Sharks afterwards. How about I buy a Family Four Pack. I will cover the extra seat if need be. I think we get free hot dogs with it! I could probably use a ride along with FrenchRage. We can probably meet at one spot. I am in Palo Alto. We should propbably take this off line but I want folks to see that the Sharks gby Roy 82 - Hockey

SF Bay Area (San Jose), OK, based on a statistically significant sample of the two folks who responded (and other inputs not diclosed to the public) we will gather at Stanley's, the sports bar at Logitech Ice. The game starts at 4PM PST. Let's plan on meeting at 3:30 PM. I am still interested in the Sharks afterwards and we could play that by ear or actually try and get tickets soon. Re: Bill Gates Hall > goodbye Hoy Field? - 18 years ago
At least that T-shirt they gave Bill Gates during his 2004 visit paid off in the end. I was worried that we were kissing up to the guy for no reason.by Roy 82 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell - Colgate Viewing Parties - 18 years ago
As co-chair of the self-appointed SF Bay Area Viewing Party Comission (SFBAVPC), I am happy to report that we have settled on two fine options (Dianne's hospitality offer not withstanding): 1. Zeke's Sports Bar near Pac Bell in SF - close to Caltrain and pretty central for the whole Bay Area. Decent large screen TV but hard to get guarantees about showing it on the big screen. Re: "Fora set-up" poll - 18 years ago
I don't mind the once in a while or timely OT-marked post on other Cornell Sports or hockey in general. I might not even know that we had a kickass wrestling squad if it were not posted here. If we must live with another forum for other Cornell Sports (sigh) then let's make sure it is for Cornell sports. ... the SF Bay Area (Redwood City) Rana has come through again! This is a great place where you can hear the game and noone complains about watching hockey. from Rana: We're on for saturday at the Ice Oasis. Invite all interested parties! I'll be there around 2:45. Same deal - I'll be downstairs to let people upstairs, and will have my cellphone on after the game starts (650-906-4960).by Roy 82 - Hockey

It is official, Murray has been called up: > To replace Toskala on the roster, the Sharks have recalled defenseman Doug Murray from Cleveland. > Murray is being called up to the Sharks for the first time in his career. He started the 2005-06 season as one of the alternate captains for Cleveland, appearing in 19 games and scoring a goal on seven assists for eight points wiby Roy 82 - Hockey

Since not all of you get these e-mails, here is the latest from HRR3. We will never know what really went down. That's a shame.
