The Red are certainly capable of winning the ECAC. They're also capable of losing in the first round. LGR!by BearLover - Hockey

Aaron M. Griffin jtn27 Aaron M. Griffin Redscore Dafatone Redscore Don't know what to say, when you have to have it..... Expect nothing from this team. I'm looking ahead already. To next year I mean.... How dare they only finish in 2nd in the conference in a year that they weren't expected to dominate. How dare they. That was just massive disappointment talking. Big win. I'd imagine Cornell can't afford to lose another game before late in the ECAC tournament if they want an at-large bid, so this keeps them alive for that as well as for the number one seed in the ECAC. Big play from the seniors but they still haven't been able to shore up the defense and continue to blow leads.by BearLover - Hockey
Re: Consecutive shutout minutes at Lynah? - 12 years ago
Trotsky SwampySometimes even one classic game can make two schools rivals. Unfortunately that was not our only classic game against them. Wow, didn't know about that game! Didn't think it could get much worse than the 3-OT loss, but it can!by BearLover - Hockey
Re: Not a goal? - 12 years ago
Swampy css228 toddlose Yea we lost (was it expected? Honestly, yes). I took a lot of positives from this game. We dominated at times, as in most of the game. We are a very young team. I was there tonite with a party of 8 and I told all of them we will be playing in the frozen four within 2 years. We are that good. I have no doubt about it. I await the hecklng Still, if we miss the NCAAs because sby BearLover - Hockey

The game was incredibly exciting, but the refs ruined it. It takes a lot for me to blame the refs, but they earned it tonight.by BearLover - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the pros: November 2011 - 12 years ago
MotherPucker KeithK scoop85 I have litte issue with Garman leaving "early" since he got his degree. I just wish him the best in re-starting his pro career. Agreed. Yes, it's "early" in the NCAA eligibility sense. But he did finish school, which is the real goalpost for student athletes. Ok, only in theory. Stop your laughing. I have no problem with Garman walking away wby BearLover - Hockey

Yeah...considering how awesome the other freshman have looked, who knows what this class would be like if Hudon were playing.by BearLover - Hockey

Scrivens stopped 38 of 39 shots and was named first star. In his first NHL game!by BearLover - Hockey

Rita It looks like Colin Greening has a blog on the Senator's web site. Here is an earlier post. Impossible not to root for this guy.by BearLover - Hockey

It says in the box score that Kanji played 9 minutes and saw 0 shots--weird.by BearLover - Hockey
Re: lles is not the answer - 12 years ago
Trotsky It happens every fall. Because God forbid this site actually sees some relevant discussion about actual games rather than treatises on whether there should be a white stripe on the bottom of the away jerseys this year. Just because he's from Ithaca and his daddy is a big shot in town Chris Moulson's brother didn't seem to mean anything to Schafer.by BearLover - Hockey
Re: CU Hockey-Preseason - 12 years ago
Any observations from tonight's game? (It's still the Preseason, so I didn't feel it was necessary to create a new thread.) How'd the freshmen look?by BearLover - Hockey
Re: lles is not the answer - 12 years ago
I did not see tonight's game, but this weakness was very apparent last year. Is it because he's short for a goalie? You never see it in the NHL.by BearLover - Hockey
