Re: Track (Hep) Results - 17 years ago
From the Cornell Track Association list-serv: The Big Red men tallied 180 points (the third highest point total ever at the Heps) to turn the tables on host Princeton (who had won this year's indoor meet), coming out on top by 47 points to claim their fifth straight outdoor title and their 8th track Heps championship in the last 10 indoor and outdoor meets. The women won 10 events oby Chris 02 - Other Sports
Re: Alumni in the Pros - April 2007 - 17 years ago
Douglas didn't get to play in the Sharks game this evening. Guess he got bumped back out by the other d-man. Sharks won 6-2 over the Kings.by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros - March 2007 - 17 years ago
RitaIn the SJ v. Phoenix game, the Cache Casino Impact Hit of the Night goes to Douglas Murray. After being a scratch for the last 10-12 games or so, Douglas got some ice time tonight and made sure he got on the score sheet with a second period fight with Gratton. SJ wins 4-2. Probably he got on the ice because of this (from the NHL.com recap via AP) "Sharks D Craig Rivet, who has sixby Chris 02 - Hockey

Re: ECAC Finals - Quinnipiac 2 - Clarkson 1, 3rd period - 17 years ago
I have a source at the rink that says the "Quinnipiac Pep Band" is actually the RPI band all dressed up. Anyone can verify this? Apparently they're playing the usual Clarkson musical razzies.by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: You Are The Committee - 17 years ago
martyAndy'07Wouldn't QU beating Clarkson get both teams in as well? Yes, I agree because I can't believe Clarkson stays home. Oops, yeah that would also get two. I suppose I was trying to get three. Here's a scenario where we still get 3: Atlantic Hockey Championship game: Army defeats Air Force. CCHA Championship game: Notre Dame defeats Michigan. CCHA Consolation game: Lake Superby Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: You Are The Committee - 17 years ago
After Friday's results, we can still get two ECAC teams into the tournament. Clarkson has to win the AQ, and then the winner of the ECAC consolation seems to get in. A tie does not work, both teams would be out. I didn't play around too much with the results from other conferences, so that might affect things a little. With .003 bonus, Atlantic Hockey Championship game: Army defeats Air Foby Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: ECACHL scores 3/16 - Q 4 v. SLU 0 (final) - 17 years ago
There was one result found in the thread about You are the Committee where ALL 4 ECAC teams got in. It involves Q 1st, D 2nd, SLU 3rd, and Clark 4th.by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: You Are The Committee - 17 years ago
With .003 bonus, the following results get Dartmouth, St. Lawrence, and Clarkson all into the tournament. Can anyone get Q in without the autobid? CCHA Semifinal #2: Michigan defeats Michigan State. CCHA Semifinal #1: Notre Dame defeats Lake Superior. CCHA Championship game: Notre Dame defeats Michigan. CCHA Consolation game: Lake Superior defeats Michigan State. Re: Quick tournament question... - 17 years ago
ryeguyConsidering how close the ECAC teams have been this year, there is bound to be an "upset" somewhere. But yeah, either way, we will play the highest ranked team that wins their first round. (5-12) Really just 5-9.by Chris 02 - Hockey

Re: Princeton 0 at Cornell 4 (2nd) - 17 years ago
billhowardCU at StanfordPrinceton just scored...Let's hope Jason has not jinxed the Big Red! For those who do believe in the woofing-god lifestyle, professional journalists and broadcasters get a bye. They're supposed to note that McKee's shutout string is now 137 minutes long and if he holds on for just four more min -- oops, sorry, David. Do you mean Davenport?by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: PWR Question - 17 years ago
I've gone to 3 different websites and have seen 3 different versions of the current pairwise. has us tied for 17th (18th). has us at 16th. has us at 19th. Edit: has at 16th (same as USCHO) Can anyone explain the discrepancy? Seems like there must be some computational differences with RIT or perhaps with the bonus.by Chris 02 - Hockey
Re: Cornell 6 at RPI 1 post game - 17 years ago
TShenoceanst41Does anyone else feel like Davenport had a quiet 28 saves. I was sure Cornell outshot RPI. According to USCHO, the SOG was 29-23 RPI. RPI outshot Cornell in the 3rd 16-4. It surely didn't look that way in the webcast. I felt like the last 5-10 minutes of the game was spent mostly in the Cornell defensive end. Most of the shots were coming from the outside and with few chancesby Chris 02 - Hockey

Re: Polls 1/22/07 - 17 years ago
I modified the poll a bit to include the records of the teams in the "other" category. We're now including over half of the teams in D-I. There aren't that many more teams with records above .500. If everyone played everyone in a round robin, team number 30 would have a record around .500. Which is about right with what we have.by Chris 02 - Hockey
