2013 All Tri-state boys lacrosse first team: Dan Nemirov. FIRST TEAM GOALIE DAN NEMIROV Ward Melville, Long Island, 5-7, 170 (committed to Cornell) The Cornell-bound keeper was rock-solid between the pipes as Ward Melville allowed double-digit goals just once all year en route to a 22-0 season and a NYS Class A title.by jeff '84 - Other Sports

dbilmes ugarte Scrivens and O'Byrne eliminated in brutal fashion last night. A replay of the BU - Miami final. Perhaps the Leafs would have done better with Scrivens in goal in the final period. As I was watching, "thank goodness it wasn't Scrivens" was going through my head.by jeff '84 - Hockey

billhoward Smartphone to Bluetooth to robot to automated drink mixing. Cornell always has emphasized a practical education. I'm increasing my Cornell Fund giving level. It's no Ubertap (http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2011/05/17/sharks-douglas-murray-not-just-a-bruising-defender-also-beer-genius/), but impressive nonetheless.by jeff '84 - Hockey

Trotsky If we win by 1 tomorrow we advance to AC after a cumulative -8 goal differential in the series. That alone is reason to win; it would be hysterical. Look at the bright side, we move up into a three way tie with BU and Wisconsin for 18th in the pairwise.by jeff '84 - Hockey

TimV The picture also captures a team tradition: the scoreboard in the background shows 21-10. During practices they keep those numbers up to memorialize #21 George Boiardi and #10 Eamon McEneaney and the ethic those two characterized. Thanks for the explanation, Tim!by jeff '84 - Other Sports

mackek2 I hope I am not breaking any rules or sacred traditions by starting a thread, but I wanted to let everyone who wasn't going to the hockey game know that we will be streaming the game tomorrow. The game is free, and is going to be here starting at 6:45pm. Plase feel free to share the link; the more the merrier. Maybe we can show you a thing or two about doing streaming right This is GREATby jeff '84 - Hockey

Bona game tonight is on NBCSports at 7. The Bonnies should not be as good as they were last year, but they will be a solid A-10 team. A great opportunity for the Big Red. Thanks! Court looks great in HD.by jeff '84 - Other Sports

Ken711 jeff '84 Looks like 41-38 Cornell. Minute left. What happened to Matthews? Neck injury from the Harvard game. The Press newspaper said he was day to day but was improving, and being this was a non-conference game probably wise to let him heal fully before the start of the 5 remaining Ivy on the schedule. Makes sense, thanks Ken.by jeff '84 - Other Sports

RatushnyFan jeff '84 Moulson gets #35 tonite vs. Devils. That was a beautiful goal. Great hands and vision, most players would have that kind of backhand attempt blocked or they wouldn't get it on goal. BTW, Matt Moulson is now in the top 10 for goals per game by an Islander at 0.39 per game currently: Attaboy Matt! .... And a beauty for 36 tonite!by jeff '84 - Hockey
