Cornell-BU Tape - 22 years ago
If anyone is interested in borrowing a copy (and returning after a few weeks), I have both Cornell-BU games from last November on tape. Shoot me an e-mail if interested. 4-3 Is there some reason why BU and Cornell both lost in their respective league playoffs and in the NCAA quarters by the same score? I thought somebody might have a theory. Nice job by the Big Red on Sunday, especially slowingby Mark - Hockey

How would they match up? - 22 years ago
Have to dust off the history books a little bit here, but how would the 2001-02 Big Red match up against the Cornell squads from '96 and '97 that also advanced to the NCAAs? Just curious...by Mark - Hockey

Jim: Thanks for the explanation on the effects of alcohol on the body, but I'm a hockey fan, and one of a Hockey East team, no less, so I'm not so sure I have the intellectual bat speed to get around on a term like "superficial vasodilatation" Hey, at least I'm relieved that there will only be one "screw" per cheer. Truthfully, Greg, I think the BU program is a pretty clean one. John: Coming off a 20-loss season in 2000-01, even a "butt-whipping" in the national semis would certainly be a step in the right direction (although I'm not sure your 0-fence is capable of that). Shutting down BU? Perhaps. A good, old-fashioned you-know-what? Nah.... But, those two northern New England schools are goingby Mark - Hockey

Pack more than a t-shirt - 22 years ago
The weekend weather in beautiful downtown Worcester (or Wustah) will be cloudy to partly cloudy with high temps not reaching beyond the low 30's, so if the warming effects of the booze don't do the trick, you should probably plan on wearing a warm coat. Oh, and what is the over/under on the first "Screw" cheer serenading my alma mater on Saturday? About 12:05 EST? One last thing...wby Mark - Hockey

Re: NCAA Tix - 22 years ago
Just in case everybody is wondering why the seat selection is in the upper reaches of the arena, the tickets for Worcester went on sale in early December. I got mine the second or third day they were on sale, and could only get corner seats, 11 rows off the ice. There was actually a "presale" for folks who purchased tickets to Worcester last year, so I assume they had the pick of the beby Mark - Hockey

Delta: You better reserve a bed at the Worcester Medical Center ahead of time. Jim and Al: Thanks for the welcome. Good luck in the Capital District swing this weekend. BU has "somewhat" of an important double dip with Maine this weekend.by Mark - Hockey

Greetings Big Red fans, I'm the BU fan from the old CHDF board and just thought I'd drop by. It only took me 6 months to track down this new forum. Congrats on your regular-season ECAC title, which is Step 1 on the march to the NCAAs. Might be amusing if the Terriers and Big Red went at it in Worcester, in a hard-fought game that I could see going to OT , but that's a long way off with league pby Mark - Hockey
