Re: Colgate 2 Cornell 1 (Friday) - 12 years ago
css228 MattS That was the worst display this season. There are a couple of players, who supposedly are leaders, who should sit for a game. PP was god awful. I can't for the life of me figure out why they treat every goalie they face as the next Sawchuk or Roy. Shoot the puck and get the rebounds. Especially on a night when nothing is working. The umbrella only works if you take shots and get deflby Johnny 5 - Hockey
Re: Colgate starting time - 12 years ago
jtn27 upprdeck but for kids paying $50k to go to school does $250 really make a dent? You have to remember, a lot of students are here on financial aid. Not everyone pays $50K. For some students $250 is a substantial amount of money on top of what they are already paying. How much is a tube of toothpaste??by Johnny 5 - Hockey

Cop at Lynah Out of poistion alot tonight - reverting back to the flopping around on his stomach. D-men saved two sure goals for him - not a good night for Andy through 2 periods. He needs to be the difference in the 3rd for CU to hold on. A buddy who works the rink overheard Brisson reaming him for not staying in net as they exited after period 2.by Johnny 5 - Hockey

billhoward css228Don't know if you guys could see on Red Cast but ... Anybody (everybody?) else find the scores overlay was blurry? If only I could have. Once again Time Warner Rochester decided to show gerbil bowling, or some such.by Johnny 5 - Hockey

I'm surprised that a "major" event like this isn't being covered by somebody. Even if only as an internet video feed. It would be great for recruiting.by Johnny 5 - Hockey

Re: Consecutive shutout minutes at Lynah? - 12 years ago
snert1288 I was only watching on Redcast so I couldn't really tell how good Karpowich looked, though from the past I do know he is a first rate goal-tender. It is worrisome though the scoring slump we've been in recently. Not every goalie we face can be having his best night. Karpowich and Milan looked to really be at the top of their game, but SLU and Niagra goalies looked quite average and wby Johnny 5 - Hockey
Re: Screw BU - 12 years ago
ScrewBU ajh258 Horrible officiating... BU didn't deserve it, just like last time. Hahahaha. Cornell could play BU 100 times, and BU wins 99 of those games but never once "deserves it." I guess when Cornell's players have no shot but tee it up right at a defender and he blocks it, that's a bad bounce. Or when they blindly drop the puck behind them but no one's there, that's bad luckby Johnny 5 - Hockey
Re: Florida Tourney on B2 - 13 years ago
ScrewBU Johnny 5 Is anyone else having trouble signing into this game? Between this and RedCast, it's pretty obvious no one cares. I'm glad students have stopped showing up to the games and that we're not getting the top recruits anymore. The program is getting exactly what it deserves---to go down the tubes. Hope St. Cloud state hangs 3-4 goals on us in the 3rd so I don't have to wastby Johnny 5 - Hockey

Re: @Colgate online video - 14 years ago
jkahn sah67 For those who can't see the game on Time Warner Sports, Colgate runs live video streams on the same All Access platform that Redcast uses. A 24-hour pass is $5.95. If we're lucky, they'll use the Time Warner feed as Redcast did during the North Dakota games. It's on SNY tonight. For those with Directv, it's channel 639. Do they archive the games?by Johnny 5 - Hockey
Re: Princeton Post-game - 14 years ago
We tied a BU game that we had in hand. We were outshot & outscored by Colorado College. Yale skated circles around us. We lost to Quinny at home & then won the road game despite (again) being outshot. We somehow won game one against ND after being outplayed big time, & then lost the sequel. And, two losses to a crippled Princeton squad. Then, how many bench minors for too manyby Johnny 5 - Hockey

Re: Cornell 1, SLU 1 (Final) - 14 years ago
Jim Hyla Well, I don't know what those announcers that you were listening to had to complain about. It was one of the worst officiated games I've seen. All 4 officials missed a 20-30 second too many men SLU penalty in the first period. All 6 SLU men were in the zone at once, and the CU bench and fans were screaming too many men. The number of icings let go was amazing. I don't know what the criteby Johnny 5 - Hockey
Re: UNH Pregame - 14 years ago
So, my question would then be....how fast are they? If they are a quick team then Brendon Nash may spend a good portion of the game in the penalty box. And, penalties have been our undoing to date.by Johnny 5 - Hockey
Re: Ben Scrivens' rank among Cornell goalies - 14 years ago
lynah80 Scrivens is an excellent goalie, but he doesn't play up to his full physical potential. He is either too impulsive or too creative. To paraphrase an old axiom: "He seems to have long periods of extreme competence interrupted by moments of glaring ineptitude". O.K., in all fairness I have to revise this.........
