Re: Alumni In the Pros: January 2012 - 12 years ago
nyc94 Flyers1037 Complete All-Star roster here: I like that it's the 2012 Tim Horton's NHL All-Star Game with All-Star Fan Balloting presented by Sirius/XM. And the 2012 Molson Canadian NHL All-Star Skills Competition. I don't see a sponsor for the draft. Shouldn't Molson be the sponsor of the Draft?by Flyers1037 - Hockey
Re: Alumni In the Pros: January 2012 - 12 years ago
Colin Greening has been announced as a NHL All-Star rookie. If they run this like last year, the rookies are divided into two teams by the NHL and then at the end of the fantasy draft (Thursday Jan 26, 8-9:30) the two "rookie teams" are chosen by the All-Star team captains. They will then participate in the skills competition Saturday night, Jan 28 7-9. Complete All-Star roster herby Flyers1037 - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Playoffs - 2010 - 13 years ago
Jim Hyla From the ECAC website Vesce called up to the Sharks. Not to play, but to be ready in case he is needed. I wonder which pay scale he gets? It's my understanding that the players aren't paid in the playoffs. All of the salaries are based on the number of days in the regular season and are paid during the regular season. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong... Also, Flyers win in 7!by Flyers1037 - Hockey

judy Rita judy Jeff Hopkins '82 Rita According to NHL.com, Ryan O'Byrne is seeing some playoff action tonight. He is a +1, no PIMs with 8:42 of ice time through 2 periods. Unfortunately, I can't watch him play, because the Assholes at Comcast Miami say that my Center Ice package ended on 4/12 and that playoffs are not included . So those of you with Comcast in DC are pretty darn lucky that yoby Flyers1037 - Hockey

RatushnyFan Trotsky munchkin Unfortunately Murray has an unofficial assist on a Sharks own goal against the Avalanche. Murray passed it to Boyle who tried to sling the puck behind the net but missed and landed it in the net during OT. Puts the Avs up 2-1 in the series. It wasn't in any way Murray's fault, though. That whole play was just weird. I thought at the time it must have gone off a stiby Flyers1037 - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Playoffs - 2010 - 14 years ago
Rita Not too far off topic since it involves me not being able to watch Murray and O'Byrne. Apparently Comcast's version of NHL center Ice does NOT include the playoff games that are not being carried on VS and NBC. Thus, like for tonight, I cannot watch Philly/NJ or SJ/Col. When I had NHL Center Ice with DirectTV I could watch these games. I called Comcast and they said terms were for regulaby Flyers1037 - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros - April 2010 - 14 years ago
RatushnyFan Is Moulson a UFA? I thought he had a one year deal with the Islanders. I would hope that he'd be able to get a two to three year deal with a little more security. He has size and good hands, it's not like he's going to fall of the face of the earth like Mark Parrish or Shawn Horcoff. Good for Matt, he showed resolve on a largely spiritless team. Capgeek has him listed as a RFA aby Flyers1037 - Hockey
Re: 2010 Post-season Thread - 14 years ago
ebilmes billhowardUnlike the Is Donahue Leaving? thread that lit off the minute the New Year's ball tounched down in Times Square, eLynah has been reasonably quiet about Riley Nash. Maybe it's just that we assume he's out of here so why waste keystrokes? I don't have any information, but it would shock me if he stayed. See: 2nd weakest conference of the major 6? marty Yes, they showed the overhead view at the TU Center but their jumbo- tron was designed during the Jumbo the elephant era of Barnum's and Bailey's circus. It is very dated and made the replay hard to appreciate. It was definitely in. You could tell on the ESPNU replays as soon as they showed the first overhead look. Chris H82 I ordered 2 on Tuesday, paid for regular shipping, .....and got home from work today(Thursday) here in Seattle to find the box sitting on my doorstep! These are awesome shirts - TOTAL shout-out to all the folks who pulled this together so quickly. Makes me proud to be a Cornellian. LGR! Did they come via UPS? I've pointed all my friends to this thread as the origin. Definitely you guys doing the bulk of the lifting to get it done. I'm just happy to have the shirts. Even if Cornell is sticking it to me again on the shipping costs... Thanks again for doing this!by Flyers1037 - Hockey

munchkin andyw2100 If PSP, the campus store, etc., are going to be making a profit off these I would hope that they either a) sell them to the eLynah community at cost, or at a big discount, or b) compensate Munchkin, Hockeychick, etc., for the time and effort they put in. cth95 The "C" makes the bear pretty small. If it isn't going to fit well, I guess I like the bear without the "C". If the "C" can be sized inbetween these last two examples, I think it frames the bear nicely. Definitely stick with a block C, though I haven't found something that works well in customink for that... Maybe an art version of a C that's a wider lby Flyers1037 - Hockey

Can always go with the Bear C logo... Also not wild about the "hockey" on front AND back... But, overall I love it. I will be getting one once the design is finalized. Edit: Shouldn't we add the comma? No sense ignoring grammar. We are Ivy after allby Flyers1037 - Hockey

RedAR How about Klump's comment at the end of the ECAC blog today on USCHO? Jason Klump: Cornell fans can't win with class, as usual. Jim Hyla billhoward Jim Hyla scoop85 I went back for the last two periods of Union-St. Lawrence. Best atmosphere I've seen in that building since Cornell-Harvard in 2005. Union is solid and will be a worthy opponent. French Rage Flyers1037 Vesce in the lineup tonight, just interviewed on CSN Bay Area. They have him centering the fourth line (according to the announcer). Who's he replacing? Re: Cornell in the Olympics - 14 years ago
Some good talk about Douglas from the commentators during the Finland game tonight. "... is the 5th player from Cornell to play in the Olympics, the previous 4 all having played for Canada." I'm fairly tired and out of it so I can't elaborate more. Some good hits from Douglas in the game, but playing his normal strong defensive presence which doesn't involve his name being called verby Flyers1037 - Hockey
Re: Cornell worst game of the decade - 14 years ago
Kyle Rose Jeff Hopkins '82 Trotsky But for my money the most underachieving performance in a game that mattered was the 6-2 2006 ECAC F loss to Harvard. That was a team Cornell should have easily handled, and an ECAC title there for the taking. Bleech! I'm with Trotsky. This is the game that I hate to think about the most.
