Re: RPI 1 @ Cornell 3 (2nd Period) - Game 3, 3/15/09 - 15 years ago
Jordan 04Gonna need some help on the 3rd goal: time and assists. Phone rang. From R Nash and P Kennedy I think it was 14:25, but somebody correct me if they knew it. I thought I heard 5:35 left.by Flyers1037 - Hockey

TrotskyjkahnJason just said that Yale will play the late game Friday and if Cornell advances, we would be in the early game. In recent years, the #1 seed has played the early game. Can anyone confirm or refute what Jason said?IIRC, the top advancing seed is given the choice. I can't think of why you would choose to play the late game. Crap. This means I have to wake up earlier on Friday toby Flyers1037 - Hockey

Re: RPI 0 at Cornell 0 (2nd intermission) - 15 years ago
TrotskyAre there any out of conference games that are particularly meaningful for Cornell? During conference playoff weekend? Edit: I mistook your meaning of out of conference. Out of our conference. Evidently I left my brain at work for the weekend.by Flyers1037 - Hockey
Re: Jordan Berk Gone - 15 years ago
andrekopitarDpperk29, the use of bringing up this sitation nearly two months later is to voice on the stupidness of Shafer and his coaching staff. I think its time to clean-house when it comes to management. Im tired of watching this old 1-0, 2-1, old style hockey games. If Scrivens has not played so well this year, this team would be nowhere close to where they are. This is a new day and age andby Flyers1037 - Hockey
Re: ECAC Games of Friday 3/6 - 15 years ago
TrotskyEither the RPI or Dartmouth band is playing "Crazy Train." It's a very, um, interesting rendition. You have to imagine all the guitar parts as horns. It's the RPI band. They played it while we were in town. I remember not knowing what song it was until at least halfway through, then having to convince the people I was sitting with that it was Crazy Train.by Flyers1037 - Hockey

Re: Cornell 3 Brown 2 Postgame Thread - 15 years ago
French RageChris '03OatSo, at this rate, would we rather play Q or Colgate? Or Union or RPI or Clarkson? It's not a pure bracket. They'll play the second worst remaining seed. No better than 7, no worse than 11. FYP. C'mon, let's be realistic. Union won tonight 2-1 against clarkson to get the home ice advantage. It's not that unlikely.by Flyers1037 - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros - February 2009 - 15 years ago
Bitz just got a small feature on Coach's Corner between during the 1st intermission in tonight's SJ/Mon game. Cherry talking about how he plays the game "right".by Flyers1037 - Hockey
Re: Other ECAC 2-27-09 - 15 years ago
martyFlyers1037Chris '03andyw2100I couldn't make out much of anything on that clip. Care to enlighten those of us with sub-canine hearing ability? They were beating drums. If that's the case, Clarkson is allowed to do that at Cheel. It's their Disco Tech cheer. The game was in Troy. Yes, I am aware. But I don't think the Clarkson band knows any better. They might have also been inebby Flyers1037 - Hockey

Re: NCAA lacrosse selection criteria - 15 years ago
RobbFlyers1037billhowardOther advantages: Doesn't Syracuse graduate around say April 15? No classes the last month and a half of the season. Syracuse graduation is 2 weeks before ours. (or maybe 1... but not earlier than 2.) Let me see if I can find that... Ah - Saturday, May 9, 2009 Actually, it was really hard. That's why you had to do all the work for me and I just got to clickby Flyers1037 - Other Sports

sah67A good offensive effort in the last 5 mins of the 2nd, let's keep it up for the 3rd...maybe get one of these guys a hat trick? Well, thanks for that jinx.by Flyers1037 - Hockey

Re: Alumni in the Pros - February 2009 - 15 years ago
Something I just realized while watching the game. The Powe line for Philly is getting some of the ice time against Bitz' line. Powe is class of '07 out of Princeton, think these two know how to play each other a little bit?by Flyers1037 - Hockey
Re: Important message to ice hockey ticket holders - 15 years ago
TimVFlyers1037I have seen a steady diminish in the way that athletics has treated us, and won't be donating anything to them. Ever. If your writing skills don't improve your charitable foundation will suffer. I might have been a little bit inebriated when writing that... and to return the favor, FYP.by Flyers1037 - Hockey
Re: Important message to ice hockey ticket holders - 15 years ago
Tom ToneTownieThe alums who support Cornell with their involvement and BIG dollars endorse him. So either everybody is too stupid to see through Andy's clever ploy or Andy deserves more credit than you give him! Perhaps, but these alumni with the big money aren't the ones putting up with the current tactics of J. Andrew. It's easy to pick on the group that lacks the money to change things nowby Flyers1037 - Hockey

Roy 82andyw2100cbuckserAs long as we're posting fight videos, here is the Murray-Stewart scrap. I really don't watch much NHL hockey. What's the etiquette on helmet removal before fighting? In the Murray fight, Murray had taken his helmet off, but Stewart didn't. It would seem this would give Stewart quite the edge in the fight, while at the same time saying, "I'm afraid of you." So..by Flyers1037 - Hockey

Re: Polls 1/12 - 15 years ago
BCrespiFlyers1037finchphilIf I read the poll correctly, the IVY League has as many teams (4) in the top 20 as the Big 10! If there was a Big 10 in hockey, I would agree. Yes, but same can be said for the Ivy League. I think that's the point. Point taken, but at least the Ivy League schools all play in the same conference and crown a winner at the end of the season.by Flyers1037 - Hockey

Re: Riley Nash Invited to Canada's WJC Development Camp - 15 years ago
ugarteJim HylaRichHKeithKOn a serious note, would a professor be likely to reschedule an exam for development camp? Assuming the guy is not a huge Cornell hockey fan, of course. Certainly it depends on the professor, but generally if they are aware of the student's activities and special cases ahead of time, I doubt it's a problem. Heck, I was able to take a couple make-up exams my freshman yby Flyers1037 - Hockey
