Re: Cornell-Harvard at MSG - 5 years ago
I contacted ESPN+ to complain about the production of the game. Who produces a game using mostly ice level cameras and up close shots. One of the most frustrating games I have tried to follow. Last year at MSG it started this way and got better shortly after the game started. Not this year. Very frustrating. It is so bad. ESPN+ has live chat in the support section.by flyersgolf - Hockey

Denver @ Cornell #2. 12/6 - 9 years ago
Whomever is directing the cameras tonight seems to be the same moron from the Penn a State game. Camera operators not paying attention to the game and missing action is also a problem. Why? Denver is playing with much more intensity tonight.by flyersgolf - Hockey
Re: Denver @ Cornell - 9 years ago
McCarron ran his mouth about a questionable penalty call on Jared Fiegl with just over 2 minutes to go. Lucky it did not cause a 5 on 3. Not at all smart, being a senior in a close game, I hope Schafer lets him hear about it, McCarron should know better. Fantastic team win. It certainly appeared the refs fuse was very short, or McCarron was extremely eloquent using few words.by flyersgolf - Hockey
Re: cornell - quin sat night - 9 years ago
IMHO it does not matter who centers Lowry and McCarron, saw that first hand at Princeton. Those two are grinders who would rather jam the puck into the net than beat the goalie with a shot. Not a lot of give and go. Cycle, jam and cram is more like it. Weidner, Kubiak and Bardreau centered those two and things really did not change much depnding on who centered them, unfortunatrely they are aby flyersgolf - Hockey
Re: Friday: Princeton 2 Cornell 1 - 9 years ago
Just got home from Princeton, even though it was a loss I did not feel disappointed nor discouraged about this edition of the Big Red. Attendance for the game was pretty close to 50-50 as far as who you were rooting for. No bands for either side and Princeton tried to bribe students to go to the game by offering free t-shirts and pizza, less than a 100 showed up. The ice for the game was terribby flyersgolf - Hockey
Clint Lewis - 9 years ago
Coaching staff caught off guard with no idea on this one. Cornell's Clint Lewis Returns to Junior Hockey By Chris Dilks The junior hockey season is nearly underway with players reporting to team training camps, and team rosters are starting to trickle out. The Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL released their training camp roster today, and included on the roster is Cornell defensemanby flyersgolf - Hockey

Had to sign on every 2 to 5 minutes until the end. But got to see the goal! AO still sucksby flyersgolf - Hockey

Re: America One Sucks it - 10 years ago
GBR1234 The whole fee. First an email for the 1 dollar refund, then a separate email for the 9 dollar refund. While not quite as good as ILDN, the overall quality was much better tonight. There still were a half dozen freezes in each period, lasting 10 seconds or so... but not every 15 seconds like last night. In the end of the third the audio play by play was about 15 seconds ahead of the vidby flyersgolf - Hockey
Re: America One Sucks it - 10 years ago
Yes it is an ECAC deal. My iPhone picture also sucked. I ended up on a desktop and even that picture does not match the regular season quality. It's Redcast all over again. America One obviously cut the bandwidth for the game too. I do not think AO was ready for mobile or apple devices.by flyersgolf - Hockey
America One Sucks it - 10 years ago
Once again America One is horrible. All year the broadcast from Lynah were very good. Now we get to the playoffs and they need more money and change to America One. Do they even break even on this deal? I pay an additional dollar for iPad access, which is normally put up on the big screen, not a big deal. But it doesn't work. Right now the screen is black. When it does come on the bufferingby flyersgolf - Hockey

I hope that none of the junior class on the ice this evening will forego their senior season.by flyersgolf - Hockey
Re: Cornell 4 Princeton 1 - 10 years ago
Tonight's game was one of the most complete team performances I can remember seeing. Everyone tonight had bought into the system. Effort was there every shift. Also of notice was Cornell's fitness, I speculate this may be due to woeful performances these past few weeks and the extra skating at practice. Late in the second game of the weekend there was still plenty left in the tank. When thisby flyersgolf - Hockey
Re: RPI @ CU 2/15/14 - 10 years ago
I was going to say its time for Iles to get hot and stay hot till the end of the season. He has not stood on his head in a while. @ Colorado College? This is it for Andy I hope he has a fantastic final chapter. Great young man.by flyersgolf - Hockey
RPI @ CU 2/15/14 - 10 years ago
Still no definitive information on Hilbrich & Mowrey? No line up changes tonight. If they have the same effort and occasionally get a shot on goal we should be good.by flyersgolf - Hockey
Union @ CU 2/14/14 - 10 years ago
Well played first half of first period. Finally a ref (linesman) we can like. Empty seats against #3 in the country, not cool. Anyone know extent of Mowrey and Hilbrich injuries?by flyersgolf - Hockey
Re: CU @ Brown 2/1/14 - 10 years ago
Fantastic weekend. Looked tired as game went on. Brown ILDN feed was terrible here. The Brown announcer is actually a lot better now that he knows he is on the ILDN. Yes he was far worse before. Andy had one of his best weekends I can remember. Nick Lappin looks like his Dad, he is a player. Cornell 6 penalties, Brown 3. Buckles and Kubiak are getting better each week.by flyersgolf - Hockey
CU @ Brown 2/1/14 - 10 years ago
After the most impressive win of the year last night, can Cornell follow it up against Brown? The ties against Dartmouth & St. Lawrence were almost like loses as we now see how really bad those two are. Finally Cornell is playing with energy from the start and finishing stronger. I believe number 22 brings an infectious enthusiasm that affects the whole team. He was noticeably limping lastby flyersgolf - Hockey
Re: CU @ Yale 1/31/14 - 10 years ago
I think the first Yale goal was called off because from the ref's perspective because the Yale player was in the crease before the puck was. He immediately waived the face off outside the zone. From the replay was that the correct call? Probably not as the Yale player was pushed into the crease by Cornell. But then the Yale player pushed Iles into the net. That is 2 minutes goaltender interfby flyersgolf - Hockey
Re: CU @ Yale 1/31/14 - 10 years ago
To see Ferlin skate away from the Yale defenders like that was simply awe inspiring. He had a gear I am not sure he even knew he had. I know the Yale announcers are just kids and should be given a break, but man do they suck. I take it they have no one mentoring them. "Cornell fans are doing excessive cheering". I fully agree with Beeeej.by flyersgolf - Hockey
CU @ Yale 1/31/14 - 10 years ago
Last year it seemed the Yale announcers had never done a hockey game, a year later and no improvement. My wife was laughing so much, especially when there is screaming, at least she is entertained. They do not realize the are doing tv and tend to exaggerate and make stuff up. The game. Both Yale goals in first period due to poor defensive play. Not physical enough on first goal, clearingby flyersgolf - Hockey
Re: Clarkson @ CU - 1/25/14 - 10 years ago
The second Clarkson goal the ref dropped the puck before the players were set. Clarkson had two men in motion while puck was dropped. Ref should have whistled the play dead as soon as puck was dropped. Otherwise Cornell is flat and standing still too much.by flyersgolf - Hockey
St. Lawrence @ CU 1/24/14 - 10 years ago
Late arriving crowd. As mentioned before plenty of empty seats. Iles save percentage will not be very good this evening.by flyersgolf - Hockey
Re: Cornell at Dartmouth game - 10 years ago
Tonight's video is outstanding it's up on the big screen. Last nights feed from Harvard was so bad we could not see the puck. Go Big Red.by flyersgolf - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Harvard 1/17/14 - 10 years ago
Great game though, Cornell easily could have won by four with a little luck. Still seems they have a hard time keeping up the team intensity up till the end. Bardreau is not one of them.by flyersgolf - Hockey
Re: Cornell @ Harvard 1/17/14 - 10 years ago
The video was blurry, choppy and out of focus. Like redcast was. I have verizon fios and this is the worst broadcast of the year for me. It is usually so good we put it up on the big flat screen. Definitely not a high def feed tonight. Other feeds worked great.by flyersgolf - Hockey
