Cornell @ Harvard 1/17/14 - 10 years ago
Fantastic start, very physical, lots of energy. Very nice goals by Dias and Hilbrich. Video is worst this season will ask for refund it is so bad. Harvard play by play's first game?by flyersgolf - Hockey
Re: 1/10 game vs Massachusetts delayed to 7:30pm - 10 years ago
No make up date, not to be rescheduled. I wonder if you Umass even offered to play an early afternoon game tomorrow and back up their Sunday afternoon home game to an evening game against the US under 18 team. Seems an exhibition game is more important to them.by flyersgolf - Hockey

Re: 11/9 Union - 10 years ago
Many of us have observed and commented on what the Union broadcasters started talking about, I paraphrase -Cornell's lack of creativity and inability to create scoring chances even though they cycle and control the puck. And the inability of some players to make quick decisions and anticipate what their teammates are doing. It must be really glaring if those two guys even notice it. IMHO Corneby flyersgolf - Hockey

Last night RPITV fantastic, tonight's broadcast from Union horrendous. Reminds me of redcast.by flyersgolf - Hockey

RPITV is still much better than anything that comes out of Lynah and it is student run and free. Looks great on the big screen. As I say every year. Thanks RPITV.by flyersgolf - Hockey

Re: Hopkins looking for a conference - 11 years ago
The Big Ten wants Hopkins for Lacrosse. They get a Big Ten lacrosse league and an NCAA automatic qualifier with the addition. The Big Ten gets a university that is an AAU accredited member which offsets the fact Nebraska lost thier accredidation the year after they joined, not every president wanted Nebraska in the Big Ten, This may be a way of getting Nebraska's attention to clean up thier acby flyersgolf - Other Sports
Hopkins looking for a conference, now found. - 11 years ago
There was speculation Hopkins would be joining the Big Ten as a lacrosse only member. Big Ten wants the 2.6 billion dollar endowment and research university. Re: 2013 NCAA Lacrosse Tournament - 11 years ago
Reminds me of ncaa hockey seedings of years past. Cornell dropped to the 10th seed. If you have the home field for your conference tournament you should win at least one game. UNC and Cornell demoted. Ohio State got a bump up. They said they used computer rankings to help with seeding. I do not see much of that. Re: Ivy lax tournament 2013 - 11 years ago
Tambroni and Deluca have a history of not doing well in close games. It is no coincidence they each lose the same way. Each seems to have the inability to recreate pressure situations with the game on the line in practice, otherwise outcomes would be different on occasion. Fast starts are great, finishing the game strong with momentum is better. Syracuse 2009 is the epitome of not being prepaby flyersgolf - Other Sports
Two NHL games at Yankee Stadium next year - 11 years ago
• Devils vs. Rangers at Yankee Stadium, Jan. 26 • Islanders vs. Rangers at Yankee Stadium, Jan 29 Lets hope CU can work something out and take advantage of this opportunity. When Philadelphia had the outdoor game against the Rangers they had a number of other games played while the ice was down. Perhaps Cornell vs. Yale? 1/31by flyersgolf - Hockey

What could have been. - 11 years ago
As we head into the off season and anticipate the next year being full of promise. Us diehards wonder if the talent of the incoming recruiting class will get us over the top. There are many people on here with memories and inside stories of seasons recent and long ago. I thought it would be interesting to see whom people thought was the recruit that got away that could have been a programby flyersgolf - Hockey
Re: Should He Stay or Should He Go - 11 years ago
Mike Schafer is more than a hockey coach. He is part of the Ithaca community. He is fiercely loyal to his team mates, players and friends. He seldom has a bad thing to say about anyone other than officials. He has turned down some of the top jobs in the country over the years for much more money to stay in Ithaca. Sure he has his moments, but I think his heart is always in the right place. Hby flyersgolf - Hockey

Re: Red Cast Really Sucks - 11 years ago
I was going to say, best broadcast since Colorado College, looked great on the big screen. Then the 3rd period was a disaster, typical redcast. Losing picture, having to log on 3 times, voice and video out of sequence. Is this because more users were on in the 3rd period? Also not sure what camera operator was focusing on, should follow the puck.by flyersgolf - Hockey

RPI has won 6 in a row, 2nd in ECAC. Their student produced online video of RPI hockey games is impressive and free. I hope our gritty big boys can contain themselves until the game is in hand, before they discuss with Greg Burgdoerfer the hit he put on Cole Bardreau.by flyersgolf - Hockey
