Re: Tournament Games over the Holidays - 18 years ago
ajec1 The idea that penalties should be "balanced" is ridiculous, especially in a game such as this (this idea was talked about recently by the NHL director of officiating as well).[/quote But the idea that a tourny could have some balance with regard to the four teams is legitimate. It's too bad that Minnestota's 3 visitors are all having such poor years.by marty - Hockey

...thinks of George Carlin these days. Even a pro like George can sound like a cranky jerk. I guess his HBO piece is a bit strident. And yet when I heard him talk (on IMUS) about a biographical piece that he would like to write about growing up in NYC from 1937-57, he was really quite charming. (Though, who knows how the book would read?) Which leads me back to the inevitable question.by marty - Hockey

No it was Pee-Wee. Oh crap, I remember now, I never played goalie in my Effen Life. Maybe I need a little bit of a nip to get my head back, eh?by marty - Hockey

I hope that the food is of the same quality that we knew and loved. Joe's had always been run by a single family. Joe and his descendents were dedicated to their business. Here's hoping the new Joe's is every bit as good.by marty - John Spencer Is Dead
