So what's everyone's input on the signs behind the coaches box on sat.? Did they put them up too much? And also some new ideas would be good also...

Someone needs to put cartoon style thought bubbles behind the Harvard players next month saying something like, "I hope I make honors."

Personally, I love the idea of the signs. I think the best ones have the cartoon style bubbles too with the coaches saying "wow! we really suck"
or "cornell is awesome!" or something along those lines. Sometimes a random thought would be funny too...like "I'm hungry" or "I'm bored" or "Hey, Coach Schafer is cute!" as if they aren't paying attention to the game.
I thought I saw a funny one during the NHL playoffs last year but can't for the life of me remember what it said.

I like the ideas of cartoon bubbles...once a game with something different each time. The student section died when they put it up. It was definately well timed after it took the coaches a year and a half to walk across the ice like a chain-gang to the bench.

I actually think I have a game when Harvard comes, which really sucks, but I'll try and to the talking bubbles

The signs kicked ass. I also thought that cartoon bubbles would be a good touch, speech bubbles too.

Take a dry erase board and cut it up to make it look like a 'toon bubble, that way if you think up a good one during the game you can change it.

Home Depot (which just opened in Ithaca!) sells BIG dry erase board pieces for under $5.

Don't overdo it. Just do a few per game that are specific to the opponent and/or show exceptional creativity.

Exactly; it's only funny if you do it sparingly

Agreed, 100%. Less is more.
