Whoever threw the bottle at the Western Mich. player has got to be new, especially to have thrown it right near a ref (Sullivan). Nothing good comes from that.

On a better note - we're not putting up with a winless weekend, for "nobody comes into our house and pushes us around" (thank you Rudy).

Let's go Red!

Also, thanks to whoever threw that stuff on the ice before the 2nd period so that we didn't get candy from the Bear.

If you see somebody throw a bottle: call security, insist they take your statement, appear at the disciplinary hearing, and nail his lame little ass. Don't confront him (the same mentality would probably be one that would take a poke at you) -- just narc on the moron. (I am assuming a male cuz I have yet to see a woman make that much of an ass of herself at a sporting event, and hopefully won't be disabused of the notion.)

And make sure you get his name and seat number, so they can revoke his season ticket privleges.

That dude got booted and I'd be surprised to see him back with the same tickets this year. They weren't too kind to him.

[Q]Also, thanks to whoever threw that stuff on the ice before the 2nd period so that we didn't get candy from the Bear.[/Q]Are we sure that is the reason? It seems logical since I gave him alot. It also makes me mad since they don't stop the penalty box guys from throwing candy, and they throw it only to the students, while the Bear throws it to all available in the crowd.

If there is someone in the band, or otherwise, who knows who the Bear is, please let me know.

I have to comment on the general 1-strike-and-you're-out policy of the Lynah staff. Yeah, it's stupid to throw candy, but shit's gonna happen, and we don't even get a warning??

I think 2 pieces of candy hit the ice in the first intermission, and both were directed at the boring bear. I don't blame the bear, but skating around in circles raising your arms just isn't gonna do it for a college crowd. You gotta have something to actively be entertaining. Candy, t-shirts, some little 'skit' with two bears, ANYTHING.

Then, during the second intermission on Friday, he brought the candy out, and the rink staff guy (I recognize him, don't know his name), came out and took it. The bear skated over to the side, and inquired, and the guy was shaking his head. There was no "throwing candy on the ice will result in candy no longer being thrown during intermission."

If the bear decided not to show up yesterday because he would have nothing to do, then I don't blame him/her. I think it's downright sad that the rink staff would think that 2 dumbasses out out 800 people is reason enough punish the whole crowd without so much as a warning. Why do I feel like I'm in high school again when I'm in Lynah? Where they treat you like a little kid. Next thing we'll need passes to go to the bathroom. :-(

If the bear thinks he/she would have nothing to do because he/she couldn't throw candy, then I DO blame him/her.
